It's time for these people to admit that they are gun proponents when their safety evaporates. It's time for them to wake the frick up to what we've been saying from the start.

Dumbass owner probably left the water, electricity and gas turned on. Wouldn't want to inconvenience the squatter.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see some vigilante Justice coming their way. A neighborhood collective who has had enough.

I’d join them if I had a compromised house.

The commies on Twitter blame it on capitalism. But on another note, if it was mine, it would catch “fire” and I’d collect insurance. I told those squatters to lay off crack pipes. Dangerous

I don’t understand the problem. You get a large garbage bin delivered to the house and start gutting the house. Most of the Sheetrock will have to be gutted anyway to freshen things up. Any personal belonging that are not yours get trashed.

Anybody that’s not a friend or family member helping to clean up leaves or gets knuckles.

Door locks get changed. Cars that don’t belong get towed.

/\ this /\ - I was going thru a list of things and saw you made a great start.
what are the laws on stealing stuff there?? - hire some of your own 'thugs' to come in and just start hauling their junk away - are they allowed to defend their possessions with deadly force?? if not - why not use deadly force on getting them off your property.

I do not understand the mindset of a community that allows this kind of shite to remain in place to stink up the whole neighborhood.

I read about an incident like this in Fort Worth. The squatters had only been in the house a few hours when the owner called the police. The squatters told the police they had a verbal agreement to occupy the premises (which the owner vigoursly disputed). The police told the owner he had to file a civil action to have them removed which could take a couple of years to accomplish.

Imagine that, cops being lazy and refusing to enforce the laws when there isn't any revenue potential.

The problem is with lazy police as much as anything.

I bet I could too.

Id turn a few big angry dogs loose inside the house.

The squatters will exit.

Investment property being sold as-is, where is. Property is squatter occupied and occupants are not to be disturbed. Contact the listing agent with any questions.

How is this codified??

Is it just an 'interpretation' by the local gestapo??

OR

do the laws explicitly grant 'squatter' rights - and how is "squatter" defined?

you mean 'voter registration block'

All they need is a warm body - or actually just a name on the registration form - to produce a ballot is the next 'mostest securest election in the nation's history'

There's not a chance in hell I would have handled this with civil action. You go in there with a 9 mm and take care of business, and I promise you those pieces of shite will leave.

don't understand why the homeowners don't just set the house on fire. Blame the squatters and then collect the insurance and sell the lot for whatever they can get.

You don’t understand why a law abiding citizens would not want to be accused of arson, attempted murder/murder and insurance fraud?

How to Remove Squatters from your Pennsylvania Property
It’s imperative to remove squatters from your property before they can gain squatter’s rights. Pennsylvania has some special laws on squatter removal that vary based on location. As such, in some instances, a judicial eviction may become necessary to evict a squatter.
In Philadelphia, for example, a property owner needs to file an affidavit stating they are the rightful owners of the property and therefore the squatter doesn’t have a right to be there. Next, they’ll need to move to the Common Pleas Court and schedule a civil hearing.
If the court rules in their favor, the squatter will be ordered to leave. The judge may even sentence the squatter to 90 days in prison. Note that not all cities will have special ejectment processes.
In such cases, a property owner will need to follow the state’s eviction process. Which, will begin by them serving the squatter with an eviction notice.
They’ll need to serve the squatter with a 10-Day Notice to Vacate. In the notice, they must remember to include the unpaid rent and late fees the squatter needs to pay to stay on the property. Most squatters will not make the payment.

The Overblown Adverse Possession Problem Although you may read alarmist cautions about Philadelphia squatters taking over property and eventually possessing it, the reality is that although a squatter may meet some requirements for adverse possession, it is unlikely that a squatter will manage to live continuously for 21 years in an abandoned house without either the owner or the city opposing the occupation, a prerequisite for adverse possession in Pennsylvania. Until 21 years have passed, he has no more right to occupy the property than any other trespasser.

Just bring in a dump truck full of fire ants. Guaranteed they will leave. Then you bring in a dump truck of tallstar.
