re: Pope Leo: ‘God does not bless any conflict’

Isn't this the dude that blessed a piece of ice or something? Dude lost all (little that I had already) credibility when he did that. The Old Testament is littered with war. Gideon, David, and the list goes on and on fighting on the behalf of God. He definitely needs to STFU.

Absolutely not. I’m saying your beliefs while entirely well intended are heretical… but no, that will not keep you out of heaven. That is not with The Catholic Church teaches and it is not what I believe.

Didn't read the article, just the headline, but I don't think that's true. There is always conflict, and God doesn't want us as Christians to cower from conflict, especially when it's against Christianity.

if it’s rubbish then by all means, go ahead and show me how your church can be traced all the way back to the beginning.

I'm actually kind of shocked at how absolutely wrong the Pope is about Scripture. You Catholics ought to speak up against the vicar.

Ridiculous pope. Who said God blesses war? Only an antipope would twist in this manner.
Every baby boy was taken brutally and killed to kill Jesus.
Many brutal conflicts have happened. Many wars.
His words make no sense unless he is being political, then he is irrelevant.
He couldn't just say pray for peace, and leave his twisted political digs out of it?

If Leo was of that ilk (just pray for peace) he’d never become Pope.
It’s because of his woke twisted political views he became Pope.

There are several conflicts in the bible where God blessed a certain side. God even prompted the conflict and aided in the victories. This Pope must not read the bible I guess.
You are probably correct. I am sure you are certainly more qualified to guide the flock.

Yours can’t either boy wonder and Peter wasn’t the first Pope lol. The early Church met every day in homes and other shelters due to persecution. There is zero Biblical evidence of a well organized early Church. Paul wrote early letters to the Churches and often criticized them. There is no evidence of Peter overseeing them. Most Catholics, including yourself, don’t understand the book they claim to uphold so it isn’t surprising

It’s so obviously and purposefully hypocritical it’s almost comical. Aside from the self defense mentioned already, pretty much the whole
Book of Joshua and multiple other books in the old treatment are about God willing defeat by Israel over others.
I wish for one day everyone had to just tell the whole truth, and not walk around it.
Just tell us you’re not a fan of Trump and you are being told by the people who call the shots to disagree with Trump.

Either way you seem to be misunderstanding at least 2 things...

Wait...What? How are those of us who are not Catholic heretical? Please explain since you seem to know everything religous.

No confusion. You don’t believe in transubstantiation so you don’t have the Eucharist.

Are you claiming the Eucharist and Real Presence are separate things?
