didn’t view him that way, as I view Francis as illegitimate.
The problem with this line of thought then who is your pope now. There will be no conclave after Benedict's funeral.
Bad popes have been in the Seat previously but they were crowned as pope.

The Boston Globe had this to add
I don't think I've ever read the phrase consecrated women before. But I'm not now nor have I ever been Catholic. Does anyonw know what that means?

He added that Benedict, whose health had deteriorated over Christmas, had received the sacrament of the anointing of the sick on Wednesday, after his daily Mass, in the presence of his his longtime secretary and the consecrated women who tend to his household.

My theory is that Benedict the XVI was the last of the Katechon(Thes 2: 6-7)- hope I'm completely wrong though

Even popes are willing to walk away due to their advanced age unlike many of our politicians in top government positions.

Reffering to nuns I would imagine.

Euphemism for hookers.

It isn’t a problem for me.
The church, as I see it, is bereft of our leader.
In short, the church is rudderless.

Catholic Answers
I love it when you quote the least credible sources to prove you're right.
"Catholics are wrong!"
"Nuh-uh! And to prove it... voila! An essay written by a guy hundreds of years ago who got tired of having the gaping holes in our logic pointed out to us!"

No, but we have a good indication based off of heretical teaching, idols in the church, excessive love of money...etc. I'm sorry but I don't see salvation in the catholic church. I'm not talking about individuals, but the organization itself.

What heretical teaching?

Your interpretation of the scriptures.

Didn't they force him to resign so the pope could take over?

quote:I know a lot of people think that the scriptures are some sort of enigma, but they really aren’t. What is necessary for the Christian faith is plain and understandable. It’s when we interpret the Bible by other standards (our own sinful desires or our traditions) that it becomes murky.
Your interpretation of the scriptures.
The NT epistles, for instance, were written with the expectation that they would be read aloud to the congregations, which assumes the congregations would be able to hear them and have at least a general understanding of what they were saying.

And yet there are so many different views out there about what they say.
