DeSantis continues to close the gap. Eventually he will overtake Trump.

He is also the better candidate IMO

You won't have to worry about that happening.

You don’t even know what his specific positions and strategies are on most all of the relevant issues, both domestic and international. So I don’t really see how one can make such a definitive statement about him being a better candidate without knowing hardly anything about his platform and proposed agenda and plans of attack on some rather significant issues.

Quote from one of the candidates:

quote:

I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.

No, DeSantis is the better candidate.

I love Trump!

But DeSantis is the answer in 2024

He’s Trump, just better at articulating his point, policies etc. and won’t waste time going down every damn rabbit hole.

Downvote away, but you know I’m right.

You’re arguing that they’re not on the same page? That’s what you believe is the situation?

Trump is not electable simply because of the delusion he inspires. I agree with 80 percent of his policy but we can do better as a people to pick someone to represent us. He is by no means An excellent politician nor a particularly talented individual but he had some good success because he stood on some admirable principles for the most part and had the balls/stubbornness required to fight the filth(and even that can be questioned with how much he went along with some of the swampiest of the swamp).

But we can do better, I assure you. Desantis is representative of the "better".

Democrats want a brutal party dividing fight between Desantis and Trump.

They want both damaged headed into 2024 but would rather have Trump again.

He is a better Boogeyman for them.

The Republican plan should be to avoid this battle at all cost.

Only one of the two should run and should do so with the 100% full throated support of the other.

If Trump decides to run, Desantis should step aside, support Trump 100% and then be in perfect position in 2028. He is a young guy and Trump can only serve one term.

If Trump for whatever reason doesn't run, Desantis should go forward in 2024 as the MAGA candidate.

The most important take away is to avoid a bruising head to head that can only damage both candidates. That is the Democrat plan. Don't fall for it.
