Yea that’d probably piss a few people off but it would largely fade quickly if that’s the approach taken. A few people would hang on to the gov covering for pedos but most would drop it and move on. By going scorched earth it pretty much guarantees that any disclosure, including full disclosure, will leave most questioning the contents or extent.
If a dem admin fought tooth and nail in the press over something like this and then begrudgingly threw out some meat after screaming at anyone who asked for a month, would anyone here believe they fully disclosed the entire truth?
Going agro instead of playing dumb was a miscalculation. They had plenty of opportunity to blame the biden admin for scrubbing the file or whatever but they blew right past that instead with the whole “the epstein thing never happened and it was all made up by obama”

Lets don't forget that Acosta is the one that gave Epstein a sweetheart deal that was unbelievable in what 2006 or 2007. A republican administration and Acosta was later made a Labor Sec by Trump. Was that a favor?

Probably true. However, I'm hopeful that the 2024 shows that any fraud can be countered. That might be optimistic as the republicans have a history of not using the power their populace has voted for.

They've admitted they have a bunch of material and videos. How has NO ONE been caught / arrested / prosecuted besides Epstein and Maxwell?!

Well if that happened and the response is to just ignore and pretend it never happened, then can I get a refund on whatever percentage of my federal taxes goes towards the DOJ?

Well, Epstein didn't seem like an idiot. The idea that he kept a ledger in plain English never really made sense. Or even that any blackmail videos would ever be on a connected server to ever be exposed to the un-deletable internet. Physical hard drives with blackmail videos are the only realistic version of a "list" and that's been insinuated but never stated outright.
