That didn't happen to him because he's black and not white. That happened to him because he's constantly made poor choices. Maybe in his next GED lesson you can explain accountability and self-responsibility to him.

Imagine having disdain for people who follow the law, become self-sufficient, and raise their families - while at the same time being sympathetic to people who choose to become convicted felons, lack self-sufficiency, and are well on their way forcing their child to be raised in a single-parent household. Individual failure isn't enough. He's setting up his next generation up for failure as well, once he goes to prison.
