The conspiracy theorist in me entertained that idea yesterday. Just the peculiarities of him randomly tracking the raw data for weeks beforehand (premeditated af) and then releasing it soon after. Throw the police off by alleging to have tracked the suspect on citi bike so they chase someone else. But then I saw something claiming the person using the bike was confirmed not to be the suspect. Who knows but this shite is entertaining nonetheless.

I'm guessing they have seen other CCTV feeds that haven't been made public and can identify the type of transportation.

The new photos appear to have been taken on a different day, which may explain the differences.
