Some time back the cdc decided to not count re-infections in the vaccinated, unless they were hospitalized or died.
They also decided at that time to change CT count for vaccinated individuals to 28 cycles, rather than the 40 cycles the unvaccinated are tested with.
Fauci himself publicly stated any + result over 38 cycles is a false positive.

I believe a lot of what this dude says, but my cousin is PA and I wouldn’t get a Tylenol prescription from her.

This PA is who you want to be the face of your covid denier movement? Looks like he should be building the deloroian
If you are vaccinated you have nothing to worry about.

This board is hilarious.
“I refuse to listen to any physician but give me the PA that wasn’t smart enough to get into med school.”
Of course he is completely misinformed about the CDC statement regarding the PCR Covid and flu tests. He is an idiot. I quit listening there

That seems HUGE and I haven’t heard anything about that.
Imagine that. The media covering up information. Wake up

A PA? Who could ever doubt that vast store of medical knowledge.

The problem is there is nobody any more credible that has a voice. Gov’t health and big health have mucked up the whole show with lies and half-truths. They’ve proven themselves more political than anything else.

Throwing aside every physician’s experience because public health physicians are liberal by nature doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
I get that it isn’t ideal that they are the face of this but that is who goes into those fields.
Fine, ignore the liberal public health people, and listen to what the others treating patients are saying.

This board only wants information that confirms the narrative it has crafted and believes.
Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug.

Okay.
Tell me what hospitalization and mortality rates are for very healthy people under 35 that have natural immunity
Tell me the same for very healthy 60 year olds that have natural immunity.
Let’s hear what the credible experts have for guidance on some very obvious questions. I’m all ears.

I think it’s different than that. I think the board wants information that nobody has or is willing to share. And we’re not talking about crazy/exotic info. We’re talking about practical information like - my son is an exceedingly healthy college athlete. He had the virus a year ago and had only loss of smell for symptoms. What are his risks - hospitalization and mortality rates for 23 yo very healthy men with natural immunity? What are the benefits to him for getting vaccinated?
Posted on 8/7/21 at 8:34 pm to David_DJS
I have those same questions and have said so many times. It isn’t acceptable that there isn’t any tracking of previous infections.
Posted on 8/7/21 at 8:36 pm to David_DJS
Very low for the 23 year old athlete previously infected. That isn’t what this whole ordeal has been about.

I think you’re wrong about that. Who’s left to vaccinate? For the most part, only the people with natural immunity and the young. Loads of very healthy 20 yos are being forced to get the vaccines for zero practical reasons.
Today this whole ordeal is about forcing people that are not at risk from Covid to get vaccinated.

I agree that they are forcing the college students to get vaccinated, making athletes’ lives hell if they don’t etc.
I disagree that we are anywhere close to having the middle aged and older vaxxed. (in Louisiana). Yes, the majority of the most elderly have been vaxxed.
Seeing several reports of average age of 54 or so that are unvaccinated and hospitalized this go round. Baton Rouge General claims they will list everyone’s age in the next few days. We’ll see.

I wish they’d also list if they’ve had covid prior. That’s the boat I’m in.

BRG responds to that question
“We hear you asking for reinfection numbers, and would love to report them. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to previous test results that weren’t within our system. In addition, many patients think they may have had COVID before, but weren’t tested to be sure. It probably seems like a simple question, but getting accurate data on it has proven to be challenging. “
I don’t love the answer. If a person claiming reinfection says they had Covid before, get their paperwork of having a positive Covid test and can report that.

It’s not just a majority of the older age group. It’s a vast majority. There are 18 states that report a 99% or better vaccination rate for 65+. The lowest rate is Wyoming at 84%. So 65 and up across the country is probably 90% with at least the first shot. It’s 70% for 40-64. And under 40 Covid is less a threat than the annual flu.
Add to this there are over 120 million Americans with natural immunity (as estimated by the CDC).
And there are 75 million Americans younger than 20.
So who’s left to vaccinate that actually needs it?
ETA - I realize there’s some cross population of these groups. But the numbers are overwhelming.
