"Peter Thiel has temporarily relocated his family to Argentina, enrolled his children in school there, and bought property, partly due to Thiel’s concerns about the United States’ future, per NYT."

Whether or not he knows something bad that is about to take over here, or he wants to leave so he is not pursued for murder... it is always a curious thing to watch an ultra powerful billionaire leave the country.

I personally think he is concerned with safety in case the poles flip, and this is where he thinks will be a safe distance using the western mountain range as a safe haven.... but y'all ain't ready for that conversation.

So he went to Argentina? Not exactly a place known for its political or economic stability.

Were Bosnia and Kazakhstan unavailable?

The poles have been shifting, it is a legit topic.

The poles have never been stationary.

I've done it here before. It gets moderate success, or a lot of laughs. Understandable.

I won't go into it here, though. However, if you are actually curious, look into ECDO theory by The Ethical Skeptic (Roger Cunningham). He, Ben Davidson, and a few of their colleagues have been covering this for a long, long time.

Ultimately, one theory is that the mantle/core are going to decouple and poles will do a "true wander." They reset 104 degrees on axis, and the world ends as we know it. They call it a natural disaster cycle every 6k-12k years. Hence lots of flood mythos in histories. But that's just the nutshell.

Thiel's move is very interesting. He cites socialism spreading from California as a main concern.

Your pole shifts when you think of Peter Thiel.

I love Milei and think he is a great leader, but even with his reforms Argentina is much more socialist than the United States.

That's what makes it kind of dumb for most people to leave the United States for political reasons - the rest of the countries are usually worse (perhaps for other reasons and not the reason you are leaving)

But he is a billionaire and he would be safe and comfortable just about anywhere.

The poles wander and they have also flipped.

“There have been at least 183 reversals over the last 83 million years (thus on average once every ~450,000 years).”

I don’t know why Peter Thiel is leaving the country.

I do know that someone who runs Palantir and who has his political affiliate as a top candidate for president leaving the country is a major and legitimate cause for concern.

I also know that taken in conjunction with how many billionaires are building bunkers in places like Hawaii and New Zealand that the discussion should be shifting from “Alex Jones conspiracy” level to “this is a serious and legitimate topic of conversation”.

If the poles flip no place will be safe. Mountain ranges? They'll be hit with devastating earthquakes.
