U.S.—To support his presidential campaign and continue to boost his meteoric rise in popularity, Pete Buttigieg has released a new study Bible with tens of thousands of notes explaining why most of the verses are wrong, incorrect, and outdated.

The Buttigieg Study Bible mixes the very best Bible scholarship with Buttigieg's progressive stances.

For instance, the note on Exodus 20:13, "You shall not murder," is accompanied by a note explaining that this only applies once a baby is born and not before. Verses on sexual immorality are waved away as Buttigieg explains how the ignorant farmers, fishermen, and prophets who wrote the Bible simply weren't as enlightened as we are today. And Buttigieg adds his commentary on Jesus's ministry, pointing out all the ways that Jesus was obviously a socialist.

"I am a strong Christian, but there's obviously a lot of stuff in the Bible that contradicts the gospel of progressivism," Buttigieg said at a press conference. "Now, progressive Christians can come to the Scriptures and not be afraid that the Bible is going to destroy their political beliefs, since my notes will be there to explain away the text."

"Get The Buttigieg Study Bible: it explains away God's truth, one verse at a time," he added.

the sad part is that while this is satire, Thomas Jefferson literally did this when he wrote his own version of the bible

The Jefferson Bible. I've seen it. The difference is that Jefferson didn't claim to be a Christian and rejected all supernatural events recorded in the Bible. He was however keenly intrested in the moral teachings of Jesus, hence his Bible, which he fashioned with the help of a razor blade.

They’ve stepped their game up in the past year.

With Dems being as batshit crazy as they are, they have to put in work to find outlandish shite that also seems possible from them.

The first "revision" will change this note to read that if the baby survives an abortion attempt xe is not considered "born". and

That's one reason why the Bee is so good at what they do.

They move the already absurd just a fraction of an inch to make their point.

This is so good that you had 28 upvotes and 2 downvotes and I still upvoted.

Of course, Pete's Bible says "Blessed are the moneychangers" and "It is good to kill Cush-ites".

This is easily the most un-Christian thing said so far in the article or here.
