The real psyops are the friends we made along the way.

Can you imagine going to the polls and voting for a democrat, marxist, or communist because you think diesel is too high?

I can't.

The danger to republicans will be voters staying home. There is little to no enthusiasm about what the current administration/congress is doing.

lol

Take this very small microcosm of a board. Several of us were gung ho GOP/Trump and now many of us are numb to all of their bs.

He and the GOP have failed you and he’s failed me. Suck it up and accept it. “Vote GOP because the alternative is worse” is the biggest line of crap ever. It’s like hiring a dirty cop because he’s only a little dirty.

So you're response is to reopen borders and raise the gas prices higher, while increasing violent crime, rapid fraud/government NGO funding, targetting of PTA's, rapid increase in pushing tranny pyschosis?

People remember when the left controlled things. You people don't create, you destroy.

We’ve witnessed SealTeam47 cheer literal socialism. . . so the lower bound at least what we get with democrats.

Trump can never be wrong because the alternative is [insert caricature of evil]. Not exactly a high bar or ringing endorsement, and excludes a ton of rational, legitimate criticism.
Its the same GOPE value proposition that they’ve relied upon for decades. It’s lost a lot of winnable elections.

The fact that “Trump is different” is completely off the table and we’re back to the old, tired, losing, GOPE desperation hail mary… is definately concerning.

You are correct we don’t want ME wars but that doesn’t mean anyone outside of your imagination wants DEI, tranny bs, and millions of more immigrants.

The same can be said for the opposite. When you say, "too bad gas prices are high" and imply you are considering voting for the left, then you are being intentionally dishonest or willfully ignorant of the Biden/left era of governance. You are also removing rational/legitimate criticism.

Rather than say, "you messed up" a caveat would be, "but i'm still voting Trump, not voting, or voting democrat", so we know where the truth lies.

Much like our treasury bonds, republicans are stuck with the TINA defense.

Yeah that's the good thing that's being ruined. He was on track to eradicating those problems but ruined it by meddling in the middle east.

boomers couldn't resist.

Considering it is a binary system, they have to be worse than democrats to lose support. That's called being practical.

Nope. He can be wrong. It only matters if he is more wrong than democrats.

Doesn't have to be a high bar. Just higher than the alternative.

You are acting as if people have concocted this binary system in their minds when it is just the reality of the situation for general elections. You're trying to sound smart, but it doesn't work when you ignore reality.

Yes, and it’s been going on for a very long time.

But it feels like we are more aware of it these days.

*ding*ding*ding* I have won many friends and family that are basically apolitical that voted (many for first time) for Trump in 2025, but, are back to not caring (for understandable reasons). Those people are not coming back. Hopefully turnout is low this cycle.

When you create a word salad strawman, you're removing rational/legitimate criticism, yes.

All that matters is not voting for the Rs (especially MAGA and Trump-aligned pols). Why is declaring who you're voting necessary for this discussion (other than reinforcing a binary in/out group dynamic used to engage in the framing I discussed)?

The corollary would be claiming poor polls are only a reflection of the administration when it's been known for decades the President’s party struggles in midterms is also a sign of a cult.

You can't have it both ways.
