I love Trump. I voted for him 3 times, and would vote for him again.

However, I can also recognize his weaknesses and failures. Of which this, if true, would be one.

The difference in us and the democrats should be that we are willing to criticize our leaders when they are wrong.

Aren't the cost of uninsured illegals going to the emergency room more damaging than the costs for covering them under Medicaid?

Genuine question because they are still going to go to the hospital and I doubt the hospitals will turn them away if it is a true emergency. But idk

This could simply be a GOP tactic to make the dims admit illegal healthcare is something that the taxpayers are paying for, which so far, they’ve denied. It’ll illustrate just how much healthcare for illegals cost, and force the media to talk about it openly. Then the dims will have to start suggesting which programs they’d be willing to cut, which won’t be anything but military and law enforcement. That won’t be a good look for them, either.

Well what to I have to do to become illegal? We pay $1500 per month for health insurance … and have to meet a $6500 deductible before they pay shite.

I suppose could agree to reimburse healthcare providers in self-proclaimed sanctuary areas however the reimbursed amounts are taken directly from federal funding given to the specific states. Then the states will need to decide if they want to intervene regarding sanctuary status. Stand back and watch them either do without or have the states take on the cities.

If Republicans agree to this they once again will blow up any ground they have gained. They will breathe life back into the democrats. But then again the uniparty never loses.

Im thinking long game here. If we give em Healthcare, wouldn't it be a preferred list for ICE?
Basically, they have to admit they are illegal, to reciev a benefit.
Therefore, we grab them and deport

I wish that was the case. But if we legally permit illegals to get healthcare, they have incentive to come again and they will flood the border as soon as Dems are in control. Kicking them out is temporary. Prohibiting government benefits is much more permanent.

Agreed. I couldn’t resist being a smart arse.

If we give them this there aren’t enough cuts to make it an even tradeoff and it shows that we don’t really have any teeth and that we do need them here for certain sectors of the economy. It’s disastrous.

Okay we’ll see, but I believe they are catching hell from their constituents. Once the checks stop, the shutdown becomes less popular. The public will flip and blame the GOP because they want their freebies and are okay with illegals getting free shite.

Truth...however, I'm also referring to those years when Rs could've done so much more and just laid an egg. I think the last R who really went to work based on his promises was Reagan.
