People who want socialism

Everyone wants "what is best for themselves". People who want socialism obviously believe that the basic bare minimum standard of living that could be provided by the government for them - would be BETTER than the standard of living they could provide themselves.
For the socialism advocates... why do you think you couldn't provide a better quality of life for yourself than government welfare could?

The flaw in your logic is that the useful idiots who want socialism have no idea how the real world works. They have had iPads and silver spoons their entire life. They have no concept of what the alternative is.

They don't want to get the education or other skills to combine with a good work ethic to earn a decent way to live. They would rather sit on their arse and collect hand outside from the government which is funded by hard working tax payers.

We already have socialism. What do you think wellfare, Medicare, and social security are?
The real question is how far down the socialism rabbit hole you can go before damaging the functioning of markets. Sadly even the 3 I mentioned above don’t function particularly well even though they should be relatively non-complex given their relatively precise target goals. Unfortunately even simple things can be effed up by government bureaucrats.

The two things that jump out for me...
1/ they think the most valuable and precious something is... the less they should cost. Valuable healthcare... should be free. Valuable education... should be free. Exact opposite.
2/ they think hating the rich = helping the poor. In reality... hating the rich is way easier than actually opening up their own pockets to help the poor. And politicians leverage that hate to gain power. They are stooges.

Working shitty jobs and having a hard life is hard. All they had to do was "Try" in gubment school, or maybe "not get pregnant," or "not do drugs," or "not break a law and go to jail,"... but those things are hard.
They want all the perks of having a great job without having to do all the hard stuff.
What they don't realize is, when everyone's life sucks, so will theirs. Unfortunately, they are all morons, and don't think about consequences or what happens "tomorrrow." It's all about today, baby.

No, the flaw in the logic is not understanding that socialism is already here, and has been for decades. And that the two parties only argue about the amount they want at any given moment.

There are no more rich people (outside of government, of course!) in Venezuela. Socialism has been a rousing success!! "Income inequalty" is all but eliminated. Everyone is poor.
