I don't think that's an accurate assessment. When COVID hit, there was a rumor (partial truth) that COVID was more dangerous to black people. This grew into the thought that it was a conspiracy to kill black people.
That's what you are seeing.

I work with a guy that has to wear a mask regularly. He's battling with a second bout of leukemia. He gets really pissed about it as well because people assume he's a raging liberal instead of a cancer patient.

I looked it up the other day. It keeps out dust and other miniscule airborne things out, limiting exposure to potentially harmful stuff. It's not libtard science, it actually has a benefit to those on chemo.
