Turtle is going to have fun with this load of idiots.

"Do you think Chuck Schumer is impartial? Do you think Elizabeth Warren is impartial? Bernie Sanders is impartial? So let's quit the charade. This is a political exercise. ... All I'm asking of Schumer is that we treat Trump the same way we treated [President] Clinton," McConnell said last month.

They should have the trial in a basement and then leak what happened everyday instead of letting the media in.

If they treated this thing seriously at all, they would have had plenty of time to find any evidence that could be found. Talking like the delay saved the day just highlights how absurd the House Democrats have been in this whole thing.

The Senate has the power to make the rules as they wish.

If I am the Senate I would stick with the theme of the Democrats.

Their impeachment articles passed with overwhelming evidence. They should stand on their own merit under scrutiny.

I would then either 1, allow the president to call all of his witnesses that were not allowed during the Dems process. Or 2, vote on what is presented and invite no witnesses.

Why no Maxine Waters or Hank Johnson?

They are leaving some entertainment value on the table.

The whole reason for the delay. Another "do over."

repubs need to get in front of this and declare pelosi, nadler, schiff, both bidens, the whistle blower, and all of shiffs office staff to prove shiff created the whistle blower out of thin air and orchestrated a fraud used to impeach

im pretty sure any pending witness is prohibited from also being a prosecutor or play any part in the prosecution

Is this not a Senate trial? Doesn’t her authority end with the House?

The Senate should give her the finger and tell her to stay on her side of the building
You are basicallysuggesting that the Defense should get to pick the Prosecution’s attorneys.

I agree with Sperry. I still don't trust Turtle.

Nearly All Of Pelosi’s Impeachment Managers Supported Impeachment Before Whistleblower Complaint Was Filed

All but one and we know they have TDS.

Am I right to be very afraid of how all the politicos in the senate handle this?

Is it better to set up Trump for their careers this late in the game?

Has this changed?
quote:

RollCall.com

McConnell can only afford to lose four Republican senators to be able to dismiss the case against Trump. Sens. Lamar Alexander, Roy Blunt, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney have all indicated that McConnell shouldn’t count on their vote.
Lamar and Roy serve Turtle, he controls their votes and has been whipping their votes for decades.

The only reasoning Turtle could have is one or maybe three things

a- he is setting Trump up, he has known there would be a trial for months, he will take cover as Romney and gang come out with the knives and will be forced by golly to join them.

b- he wants Pelosi and the dems/GOPe Ukraine scandals exposed

c- he will fix it so none of the real corruption of: Graham and McCain on video getting medals from the dem controlled corrupt Ukraine President, Kerry, Romney, Biden's, Pelosi's son. Does not come out... but they had a trial so the dems will take half of a minute to impeach Trump again.

I am going with c for now.
