Look, I can't stand Pelosi, but she's basically issuing a warning. She seems to be very reasonable. She isn't saying a 2nd amendment emergency would work, it's simply an example. It can be a multitude of different things they'll use it on.

How could it be an emergency when gun violence and violent crime is lower now than almost ever before. Was it not an emergency in the 80s when people were getting gunned down left and right?

youre delusional if you think coming out and attacking the 2nd ammendment and pointing out that a democratic president could declare that emergency is exciting. thats a literal call to arms. it would be the gold standard of tyrannically oppressive rule of a governing body over its people.

The frick does this dumb count think would happen? Democrat president declares gun violence a national emergency. Okay. That's nice. What then? Gun confiscation? Polls show cops would overwhelmingly refuse to enforce the laws. And of the ones who did try it, their family members would be getting a folded flag.

To be crystal clear, now that the issue has been raised, there is no question whatsoever that it will be done.
That is how Dems roll.
Regardless, if it would rate as an emergency then, Trump's current action has absolutely no effect on that.
