Finebaum might be a serious darkhorse here. He understands what moves Alabamians probably better than any other human being. Hated or not is irrelevant once he starts talking policy.

It's not like the early MAGA movement was filled with Apprentice fans; that was anecdotal if not detrimental early on. But DJT has the same gift of understanding people and how to motivate them en masse.

Depends on his actual platform, but I wouldn't casually dismiss him.

I hope he wins and keeps his show. Just when you thought his call-in segment could not get any crazier. It would be the Jerry Springer Show on steroids.

The tape from his show of him and Vickers the day Cadillac signed with Auburn would end him with the quickness. Nonstop racism for several hours.

Is that a “SEC football only” senate seat? Expanding the call in show to national political issues will be interesting radio. “But Pawwwwl, we can’t adjust the tax code like that!”

He does have a degree in political science. And he’s Jewish.

Don't believe it. That is that he is a Trump supporter.

I'd sooner vote for Phyllis from Mulga.

One of the guys that took over from Rush just said Disney wouldn’t let Finebaum interview Trump before the LSU/Alabama game in 2019.

Sounds to me like he's ready to quit ESPN or something. It was an odd choice to announce this to Clay Travis who built his career off of trashing ESPN.

How long does he plan on entertaining these retards who call into his show? It's so boring & tedious, I can't listen to ten minutes of it. I din't know how he does it for four hours everyday.

I'm not a Finebaum fan, but you honestly think he's not too bright? Are you confusing him with his callers?

I thought Brice Pearl wanted that seat?

Personally, I'd rather see Pearl get it. If nothing else, Finebaum has been connected to Disney/ESPN way too long.

Paul Finebaum is seriously considering entering the Alabama senate race.

Well he's been campaigning for Bama for two decades now, might as well get a real vote from his brethren. Who's his pom-pom waving campaign manager, Gary Danielson?

Finebaum is not stupid, if anything he is an evil genius.

Personally, I always thought Finebaum leaned left. I quit listening during the Cam Newton days when he Finebaum would have Joe "scum " Scarborough call in to the show.

I know Paul. He is one of the kindest and smartest people I know. He is playing a character on tv and the radio. He would do a great job. He’s likely dad who was a Democrat but is now a conservative because the left has gone insane
