It was in response to this

There aren't many logical reasons to think this was a "professional job"

did not say it.

I don't think it was some professional hit. Hence the steel manning

Don't suggest it then

Don’t resist the savior. His savior complex is well ingrained but you don’t want to be the one to ruin it.

No matter the context, that was an extremely callous thing to say about a man that was literally just murdered in cold blood absolutely regardless of how you try to rationalize it.

I don't pay much attention to Charlie, but wouldn't he be a top five impact guy in terms of getting Trump elected and influencing college age people? Who does more outside of government other than Scott Presler?

All of that is still in place. Like I said, there will be others. Kirk wasn't the first.

Not even the first to do big college tours. Milo, Ben Shapiro, etc. did all that in 2016.

Now compare that to this groundswell of support and the organic response (even by DEMs) to this assassination. This is a Yamamoto quote scenario.

He knows what he’s doing. He did it on purpose. And then pretends you’re misconstruing it.

Kirk wasn't something valuable enough to kill, in the larger picture. There will be a next man up, and this ignores the galvanization his death (or even an attempt, like with Trump) would cause.

Your understanding of the overall dynamic is lacking, if not quite myopic.

No people are just being emotional.

This is the Smith-Mundt Act thread all over again.

So we can't have a discussion on the potential that this was a professional hit? Why it makes sense or doesn't make sense?

Honestly, I think he had really separated from the pack and there is a high likelihood that the next man up is far less charismatic and not nearly as blessed with his gut sense of the movement/moment

Im concerned there won't be anyone as effective to fill the void left by his death. He really was uniquely good at talking to young adults. And he had a strong moral compass, which is lacking in many people these days.

There are names out there but who knows which ones are even sincere. Charlie seemed to be that.

You certainly can. You’re not dumb enough to pretend that the way you phrased that wasn’t incendiary.

That's fine. Let's assume that I underestimated how they would evaluate his individual impact

Does it still outweigh the response that the assassination would cause?

Not a chance. With modern technology and Kash Patel being the head of the FBI, and a conservative Governor, they won’t rest until this guy is captured. Dan Bongino has to be on full tilt right now.

And the January 6 pipe bomber from the DNC Headquarters? Yeah ok

Im not being emotional over this at you.

You suggest it could be a professional hit then on the other hand you say that it's not likely.

So why mention it?

Might as well mention Putin pulled the trigger himself, it's just as likely...but ain't nobody throwing that shite out to discuss.

No. I responded to someone doing this showing why that doesn't make sense.
