It won't matter if they do or not. The SCOTUS is where that buck stops.

Trump doesn't value the Constitution, should we have disallowed him from running?

Not to mention, you don't value it either (obviously), so what makes you different from them in that regard?

quote:

You think they will like you because you simped on their behalf?

See, this is a great example of why you were so wrong when you tried the "distinction without a difference" obfuscation. You just illustrated the difference between a rightist populist and a conservative.

I see this issue in terms of defending the Constitution. You are a populist, so you can't see that. frick the Constitution if "they" are after you. That's the only way you can see it. Because the only principle—the only one—populists respond to is the principle of Us vs Them. Everything else can go to Gehenna.

A conservative values the principles of equal treatment under the law and does not consider the fact that some people do not share those values as a reason to chuck them out the window.

A populist just sees it in terms of junior high level competition, which you so aptly demonstrated above.

quote:

The Constitution can be amended...just a question of who amends it.

Sure it can. That's how the system works.

A SCOTUS packed with muslims?

The Constitution lives in our Eurocentric Christian hearts as much as it does on paper. It's system design was for high trust moral people and the ones who designed it admitted that. The Islamic system is an alien design and is incompatible and if Allah commands, it will interpret the Constitution so that Islam is supreme.

Without it's conservative guardians, it's just paper.

The barbarians are still outside the moat, this is the time to turn them back. It will cost a lot more once they are inside the castle walls.

Yep, this is why I don't care. When it comes to Muslims, it's us or them. And I want to make sure it's us.

We have to officially ban the Muslim religion from the United States. No mosque's allowed. No hijab's allowed. Official ban on anyone who is Muslim serving in any public position. Not just Federal but State and Local as well. Deportation of all Muslims back to the Middle East.

The Muslim religion and the West are incompatible and are forever enemies.

also us vs the indians

Of course. It's the principles that are important, not the paper.

But here's the thing...do you want to live in a Constitutional Republic with equal treatment under the law or not?

If you do, then you can't ignore the Constitution part of "Constitutional Republic." Instead, you have to conservatively guard them, to use your words. You can't guard them by ignoring them or violating them. So you have to prevail within the system, by voting and influencing. And stopping them from entering the country in the first place. There's nothing unconstitutional about the US deciding who is beneficial to immigrate here and who is not.

Otherwise, you don't need Mooslims to wreck the Constitution. You'll just do it yourself.

Those of you populists who think you're going to save the country by pissing on the Constitution need to evaluate whether you still believe that a Constitutional Republic is the way to go. If so, you don't get to enforce the highest law in the land when it suits you and ignore it when it doesn't. And if that's too constraining for you, then you better start planning a revolution.

Start picking out your dictator. Choose wisely. And I'd choose somebody pretty young if I were you.

Or, you could always go the Royalty route. Pick a king. Then the crown could just move down through the family line.

But you don't get to keep a Constitutional Republic that only follows the constitution when you want it to.

Grow up a little.

MY naiveté?

You idiot populists somehow think that pissing on the principes that guarantee US citizens' protection from government is only ever going to be used in your favor.

Y'all are like two guys sitting on a dam fighting over a hammer. When Populist A has the hammer, he knocks holes in the dam so that water pours onto Populist B. After a while, B gets the hammer and now that he has seen that it is possible to sabotage one another using it, he does the same thing to A. Back and forth they go, wrestling for control of the hammer and busting more and more holes in the dam, neither caring that they are eroding the thing that holds back the water from killing them both because all they can think about is the ONE GOLDEN RULE of populism, Us vs Them.

The outcome is obvious...eventually the dam collapses and kills them both.

So count how many times the populists in this thread are literally using the phrase Us vs Them (just in the posts directly above) specifically in the context of "I don't care about anything else, it's Us vs Them," and then tell me which one of us is naive.

Some, if not most, of the dumbest decisions in human history have been made on that basis.

Do you think that once this Constitutional principle is eroded in this context, it will only ever be applied to Mooslims?

Why do you not see that the almost guaranteed outcome will be that the next time godless Democrats gain power, they will make the same argument and impose the same restrictions against Christians on the basis of the majority of Christians taking political stances against LGBTQ, abortion, radical feminism, divorce, etc.?

And I am the one being called naive here.

Does it protect the worship of Molech and child sacrifice? What about Shinto - that was behind the bombing of Pearl Harbor? If it's a "religion" (and they were/are), then does your 1st Amendment sanction their practice?

What does it even matter since all those people were going to hell anyway?
It matters because God is holy and He wants His creations (humans) to be holy as He is, and we are obligated to be obedient to Him, regardless of our eternal fate. In addition, not all people in Israel were going to Hell. They were given the promise of the Messiah to come, and as they believed God's promises by faith, they would be saved, even if they were sinners. Same for us.

quote:

You are the one who claims God hasn't spoken to someone in thousands of years. And if someone did claim to speak with God since then, you would only allow it to be "true" if that person repeats the bible to you.

Despite the fact that you just above said God changes his mind, even if for people condemned to burn in hell for all of eternity.
God doesn't change His mind in actuality. The Bible speaks in terms like changing His mind to express God's actions changing in response to humans, but if God is sovereign over all things (He is), and He has planned all things from eternity past, He can't change His mind. It's more about how we perceive Him rather than what He is actually doing.

But no, God does not provide new revelation any longer. The Bible is complete and the apostolic witness (along with the prophets, laid the foundation for the testimony of God that was recorded in the Bible), so while He can speak to people as He pleases, He doesn't provide new revelation, but only can confirm that which has already been revealed, which was recorded in Scripture. He certainly doesn't add to it or contradict it.

quote:

What a load of horse shite. People are guilty of something before they are born.
That's called federal representation. Just like humans inherit the representative guilt of Adam, so too do Christians inherit the representative righteousness of Jesus by faith.

You know how federalism and representation works, right? When one country goes to war with another country based on the actions of their leaders, those countries don't distinguish between the leaders and the people; the entire country is at war.

Adam was without sin, and therefore was the best possible representative we could have. We now have his sinful nature, so we couldn't do any better even if God gave us the opportunity to obey today.

quote:

Of which they not only have no knowledge of, but they also have no actual God to tell them they've done so.
That's why Jesus sent missionaries out to the ends of the earth to share the truth to people. That is the mechanism God uses to share the free gift, but that free gift is not owed to anyone, so even if God chose to let all people die in their sins without saving anyone, He would still be just to condemn us all.

quote:

They only know about it because you told them so based on a 2000+ year old book.
If that 2000+ year-old book contains the truth and that truth doesn't change, it doesn't matter how old it is. So yes, when Christians share the good news of the free offer of salvation, they are doing so from the truth claims of God's revelation.

quote:

And yet the only form of "salvation" is only available to a small % of the humans that ever lived on this earth.
Jesus said that the way to salvation is narrow and few will find it.

No one is owed salvation any more than any criminal sitting on death row is owed a pardon from the Governor, King, or President. Just because the King pardons one or two criminals doesn't mean he's unfair for not pardoning them all.

But take yourself: you are focused on those who haven't heard the offer of salvation to be saved, but you have it for yourself right now, and yet you disregard it. Perhaps you should consider all those souls like yourself that are freely offered such a pardon and refuse it.

quote:

And it comes down to believing some dude who claimed he was the son of God is killed by human sacrifice and if you believe that you are saved?
It was God, Himself, who promised that He would send a savior, and it was God, Himself, who paid the debt we owe to Him. All you need to do to receive the benefits is accept that offer. You don't have to do anything else.

quote:

And of those people it doesn't matter if they do almost everything right, and some other guy murders millions of people - the guy who murdered millions goes to heaven and the others spend eternity in hell.
You have oversimplified it. First, all sin creates an infinite guilt and debt because God is infinitely holy. Just like it's a worse crime to threaten to kill a King than to threaten to kill your neighbor, it's an infinitely-terrible crime to break any of God's laws due to the nature of the one you sin against.

Second, even one sin is enough to send you to Hell because of the nature of the offense. No one does "almost everything right", because anything not done by faith is sin, and we all sin all the time in thought, word, and deed. But not only that, it's not about the proportion of right vs. wrong, even if I were to grant you that. If someone stands before a judge for grand theft auto, it won't do him any good to say that he didn't steal thousands of other cars, or that he helped a bunch of children and old ladies across the street. Breaking the law isn't countered by doing otherwise good things.

quote:

Can it get any worse? What a piece of shite God you have.
The funny thing is that if you reject the existence of God, you actually remove all rational foundations for saying that God (or anyone) is a "piece of ****"" at all. You are making a moral claim about God, and in an atheistic worldview, morality is entirely subjective without any outside standard of morality to compare against, so each person's moral compass is equally "right", because there is no true "right" or "wrong".

What that means is that your assessment that God is evil is nothing more than your personal opinion, which carries no moral or logical weight outside your own mind, so that it's meaningless. You might as well be saying that you hate the color orange. So what?

quote:

That's what you claim, yet you offer no proof.
Go through the 10 commandments in Exodus 20 and Jesus' application of it in Matthew 5. Everyone has broken God's law, including you. And since God is the King of the universe, it's quite appropriate to call such sins "cosmic treason".

quote:

If Jesus appeared to you today you'd reject him also. It would just be some guy claiming to know God and you'd be just like the Pharisees relying on scripture and telling them they must be a demon or whatever.
Not according to the Scriptures, themselves. All those who are saved have the Holy Spirit residing in them, and as Jesus said, His sheep know His voice and follow Him. If I truly belong to Christ, I won't reject Him at His return.

quote:

And if there are no good people, then it's because God didn't create them. So you're saying God creates billions of people just so he can burn and torture them forever.
This goes back to the federal representation that I spoke of above. God created all things for His own glory, and can and does do with them as He pleases, according to His unchanging and perfect moral character.

Romans 9 speaks of God being like a potter, having the prerogative to create from one lump of clay something for a good and noble use, and something else for an ignoble or destructive use. God has the authority to create a person for whatever good reason He chooses, and He owes us nothing, just like the potter doesn't owe the clay anything.

You think God is a monster for not giving us something that we don't deserve. I think God is loving for saving many of His enemies when He doesn't have to.

I haven't been told to be obedient to anything except your fairytales. Like every marketer you make up a problem and then magically have the solution to offer.

quote:

God doesn't change His mind in actuality. God lies then.

And what you are saying is he plans for billions of people to burn in hell for all eternity. 2000+ years later and the bible hasn't accomplished shite.

What you are really saying is - you refuse to accept any new revelation should it exist because your dogma doesn't allow for it.

quote:

That's called federal representation. Just like humans inherit the representative guilt of Adam, so too do Christians inherit the representative righteousness of Jesus by faith.

I didn't inherit anything from your fictional characters of people who never existed.

I don't know why you think people are just supposed to up and take your claims as fact. But you're saying not only am I responsible for the sins of my father, but I'm also responsible for the sins of someone thousands of years ago.

And I'm going to burn in hell for it - by design of God.

quote:

That's why Jesus sent missionaries out to the ends of the earth to share the truth to people. That is the mechanism God uses to share the free gift, but that free gift is not owed to anyone, so even if God chose to let all people die in their sins without saving anyone, He would still be just to condemn us all.

A free gift that is only available to a small % of the people on earth, and everyone else is fricking and going to burn in hell forever and ever?

And in order to receive this "free" gift, I have to pretend a bunch of stupid crap that obviously isn't true and worship human sacrifice.

That's not free, it's a marketing lie.

quote:

If that 2000+ year-old book contains the truth and that truth doesn't change, it doesn't matter how old it is. So yes, when Christians share the good news of the free offer of salvation, they are doing so from the truth claims of God's revelation.

It doesn't contain truth, it's full of lies -by God himself.

And you aren't offering nothing for free you're just a marketer.

quote:

It was God, Himself, who promised that He would send a savior, and it was God, Himself, who paid the debt we owe to Him. All you need to do to receive the benefits is accept that offer. You don't have to do anything else.

There is no proof God offered anything. Nor is there any proof of this debt you claim I own. It's all made up shite for stupid people like you. You are a marketer trying to sell people bullshite.

quote:

You have oversimplified it. First, all sin creates an infinite guilt and debt because God is infinitely holy. Your god is no Holy at all. You have laid that out plain as day. Making people burn in hell for all eternity by design is not holy.

And the supposed remedy to this is human sacrifice.

And I'm pretty sure I can't kill my neighbor and then tell the judge - that guy paid for my theft, so I'm free to go. You talk about people being responsible for their actions - unless they sacrifice a human to pay it for them.

That's fricking evil. That's not holy, your God is not good. Your God is a piece of shite and is the one who belongs in hell.

No, I reject the stupid shite you claim and say about God. There is a huge difference. Because your God is a piece of shite who creates people for the sole purpose of torturing them.

You can't even see your own dogma.

Once again, these are merely things you claim to be Gods law. And according to you, God breaks his own laws all the time.

Besides, I thought Satan was the ruler of Earth. Which is what you actually worship.

Ah, so God is a hypocrite and that's ok because he's God. We are to be held to a higher standard than God.

The only enemies God has is the one he created. And I'm not sure how you can really call them enemies since he has plans to torture them forever and ever for being as he created them.
