Anyone else feels shift in the force a bit?

SCOTUS had given us some momentum with the 2A and RVW rulings. But this is honestly as big as those two combined.

For decades our federal gov has been bloated and over empowered. If this does even half of what it could in neutering them, then it is a massive victory for us.

This whole fight is to put power back into our hands. Unelected feds do not represent my vote or my values. They are appointed and placed by deep state and those in power.

The bat signal will be out soon on the MSM about how this is racist/sexist/transphobic somehow to rally the left to fight it. But you best believe the deep state will be punching hard to fight this one even harder than RVW.

I think it’s coming. This court has been swinging a big dick with these rulings and honestly seems hell bent on raining in the federal government. The momentum is definitely there

The key is if the enforcement arm sides with the Judicial branch or sides with the rest. This is looking more and more like a looming civil war whether people want it or not. The left has taken a "my way or the highway" approach. They are the embodiment of the very definition of extremism.

EPA ruling will have a huge impact on most of our lives, and more quickly.

I think this potential ruling is more important than Dobbs ever could be. Reining in unelected bureaucrats is paramount in sending power back to the people, and it forces Congress to do their damn job.

It ABSOLUTELY could be the most important ruling of this session. Particularly after we have watched the executive branch and these bureaucratic federal agencies go insane implementing "laws"....all under the guise of an "emergency". The precedent was set that simply labeling something an "emergency" allows the executive branch and federal agencies to simply bypass the legislative process altogether. Now, 2020 wasn't the first time in our nations history were the executive branch took action outside of congress. Far from it. But in the last decade or so we have watched presidents issue countless EO's on all kinds of shite that they argue have the effect of "law" to further their particular agendas. It's beyond time to reign that back in.

Dobbs will get the headlines. But the reality is the ruling effects only a relatively small amount of people in practice. Most of the people losing their minds over the ruling have never had an abortion and don't plan on getting one. They just have to "support the team." Presidents and federal agencies, led by either party, grossly overstepping their bounds to create "laws" effects everyone

This ruling would be great and all - but don’t get your hopes up.

A corrupt Congress can do what it wants because it is only held accountable by the executive branch and it’s, currently, retarded and a pedo

If we had any Repubs with balls, they would challenge most of the EOs as the President* is legislating from the Executive branch. Checks and balances went away a long time ago.

Can someone quickly summarize the nuts and bolts of this case for me? I understand the ramifications but not so much how they’ve reach this point

Most of those people couldn't get laid by forcing roofies down someone's throat and chasing it with 5 gallons of beer and a handle of whiskey.

As to the OP topic.

Huge if this happens. It would be the single most beneficial federal action for the people since the Republicans ratified the 24th Amendment.

Issue: Whether, in 42 U.S.C. § 7411(d), an ancillary provision of the Clean Air Act, Congress constitutionally authorized the Environmental Protection Agency to issue significant rules — including those capable of reshaping the nation’s electricity grids and unilaterally decarbonizing virtually any sector of the economy — without any limits on what the agency can require so long as it considers cost, nonair impacts and energy requirements.

Abortion is a money maker for them.

This one is about power. Way more important to retain power. With power money making is easy
