When and if Musk does or says something that looks bad relative to public opinion, they will be done. Maybe he gets one Mulligan. In the case of the recent budget goings on the buzz out there is the democrats controlled the narrative. Saying Trump has to take his queues from Musk will not be tolerated by Trump. Democrats are working already to jack up Trump's second term.
