They don't want clean data damn it.
They want it to say what they want.
Everything is working perfectly.

The report, published by The Heartland Institute, was compiled via satellite and in-person survey visits to NOAA weather stations that contribute to the “official” land temperature data in the United States. The research shows that 96% of these stations are corrupted by localized effects of urbanization – producing heat-bias because of their close proximity to asphalt, machinery, and other heat-producing, heat-trapping, or heat-accentuating objects.
this has been known since the late 90s. The fact it hasn't been corrected should tell you they don't want it fixed.
take a gander at how they come up with Africa's data (as well as Russia's and most of Asia. Just as fricked up, but in the opposite direction (pure guessing with extrapolations from remote and sparse reporting stations)

Indeed.
Check out John Stossel’s segment on The Climate Sensors.” In short, he exposes an obvious bias that utilizes coercion as a means of silencing people.
Who is this French climate nazi?
He actually sued Facebook and lost (even with video evidence).
How? Probably due to judges like this one:
quote:
U.S. District Judge Virginia DeMarchi found that Facebook couldn’t have defamed Stossel because its fact-check program “reflects a subjective judgment about the accuracy and reliability of assertions” made in the content that’s been checked. “Simply because the process by which content is assessed and a label applied is called a ‘fact-check’ does not mean that the assessment itself is an actionable statement of objective fact,” reads the order.
frick climate “science.”

Easier said, than done. That means planting 125 trees for every person on the planet.
Earth's CO2 concentration prior to the rise of plants was extremely high. After plants evolved and spread, CO2 levels dropped dramatically.

You just need to plant a trillion trees.
Perhaps the world just needs MORE CO2? The Sahel in Africa was “re-greening” on its own with NO increase in precipitation. The next thing you know, the “Great Green Wall” is being planted there. I have no doubt that the “Great Green Wall” will be credited with slowing desertification. But did it?
Reducing CO2 is not a good thing for plant life globally. Now extend that same thought process to farming.
Lower crop yields anyone?

Corrupted... who cares?
All I know is that it's hot as h*ll in Southeast Texas with an immovable heat dome over the entire state, and it's gotten to where these oppressive heat waves park themselves here each summer, for weeks, even months at a time.
That did not happen in the 1970s, the 1980s or the 1990s. Empirical evidence, not "corrupted data", tell me the climate is changing, and not for the better.

I wonder how many climate doomsdayers even realize the planet has been greening significantly over the last few decades due to the CO2 levels. Healthy ecosystems all over the world are thriving. It's almost as if Mother Earth knows what she's doing after 4 billion years.
Agreed. Take coral reefs for instance

People subject to the rules and taxes and laws and bans laid down by people using that data.
Thats who

Climate scientists only get to keep their job if the climate is in peril and man is the cause.
These people majored in climate science and they are not qualified to do other things.
Of course they are going to corrupt data.

But to address your question, I am certain the Heartland Institute understands the climate is considerately warmer than it was 30K-yrs ago. Do you?
It was a skosh colder.
25-30K-yrs ago, Manhattan Island was beneath more than 1.5 miles (2.4 km) of glacial ice.

I'll start worrying when they all start selling their oceanfront property and setting up shop in the heartland.
Already happening in Florida baw. Between insurance increases and resiliency project taxes people in many coastal Florida communities are getting out. Their choice of relocation is mostly Colorado, Montana, and Idaho. I know more than a dozen families in Monroe County that have started this process. Most are second homes, but a few have sold out of Florida completely.

So man made.
Unless, of course, Hurricanes are a recent phenomenon that has never before occurred in Miami.

What does this have to do with academia? And the source is the Heartland Institute, the same organization that fought vigorously to convince the American public that tobacco doesn’t cause cancer. They are not impartial either, so why should I trust info coming from them?
Let me run your criteria on a different organization.
The US Government tested syphilis on black American citizens in Tuskegee without their consent. They are also partial to one side, as evidenced by using the IRS to target conservatives.
Applying your criteria, I should never trust them then
