Released inmates had also been convicted of aggravated arson, aggravated kidnapping, first-degree robbery, and armed robbery.

Governors should be financially liable to victims’ families if a person they pardoned commits another crime.

I wonder how long they were incarcerated for before the pardon. The older a person is, the less likely they are to re-offend.

You think people who kidnap others should be free?

I’m assuming you have trouble tying your shoes

How did you draw this conclusion?

You can assume whatever you want, friend.

It doesn’t matter what I think, they’re already pardoned. That’s why I wonder how long they were locked up. Generally, the longer someone is locked up, the less likely they are to re-offend.

There are only 3 purposes of prison:

a. Rehabilitation...they'll be good when let out.
b. Deterrence...don't be like this guy, kids.
c. Societal Retribution...you kill someone, we kill you.

I believe in b and c. We don't need rehab if the murderer is executed or stays there for life.

This guy has been an a-hole since day one on the job. Said he lived by an honor code derived from his military experience....but he lies like a rug!
I guess having a crooked brother tempts you to pardon folks for crimes they were convicted of.
Hope he crawls under a big rock and we never hear from him or of him again.

Edwin Edwards 30 years ago used to charge $10,000 per pardon when he was governor.

I wonder what the going rate is today?

JBE should now be responsible for these criminals actions going forward. If they kill again then JBE should be arrested for murder too.

Good news- 40 new hobos you can blow.

Bad news- 40 new bikes you are going to have to buy.

Edwin Edwards sold a pardon to one guy who later shot and killed Edwin’s brother. But even that didn’t change his way of thinking.

Fortunately, they were all wrongly convicted because of racism.

There are people who actually believe that, and to them, Roberto is a hero.

Do you have data that supports this claim?

Because I have data that supports mine.

This is sex offender recidivism.
