Do you think minorities will make a distinction in this instance?

Do you think minorities will feel his policies are not discriminatory?

what if he said this:

"I think we disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little."
If he is comparing “stops” to aggregate crime statistics, he would probably be factually-accurate.

Accurate facts are not racist.

Will some dimwits attempt to portray the matter otherwise? Sure. Will other dimwits buy it? Sure.

He should have retweeted the video without comment. I think the comment can be perceived in ways that may hurt him a bit with different groups.

If he truly thinks Bloomberg is racist for his comments, he looks hypocritical if he agreed with Bloomberg's polices, and also may turn off tepid supporters who don't think Bloomberg's comments are racist. If he's being sarcastic or trying to show hypocrisy of the left, he could turn off some blacks who were warming up to him, if they disagree with the policy or really do think Bloomberg's comments are racist.

Although ultimately, I think people read into it what they want to believe, so I'm probably overthinking it.

2006 NPR story on Sheriff Harry Lee :
NPR story

"We know the crime is in the black community. Why should I waste time in the white community?" Lee was quoted as saying.
The NAACP response:
"Confronting a group of black people on the street corner merely because they're black and milling around is a form of racial profiling. The NAACP opposes that tactic," King said.

Holding breath awaiting responses to Bloomberg. 2015...and waiting ...and waiting...

I was about to type this and then I saw you had it in your post.

You are way deep in the weeds on this. The electorate is not that nuanced.

Liberals disagree with you. Not sure why you have such a hard time understanding that.

I was hoping someone would dig this up.

Good find!

Trump has the media and libs cornered on this one.

Either they defend racial profiling or they denounce Bloomberg.

What help do you need.

He seems to be saying that Whites are subject to a larger percentage of “stops” (whatever that means) than their percentage of violent crime. He is probably correct.

Will some try to spin this as racism? Sure.

Some people will see racism if you choose vanilla ice cream over chocolate.

hero hank i thought profiling was illegal

this is why 86yo white grandmas get pat downs at the airport with the same odds as shifty-eyed muslims.

Cliffs? Link to the underlying video? EDIT Found it. Nothing racist in the speech. Just pragmatic law enforcement, though I personally have Constitutional concerns about Stop and Frisk. Sure, plenty of Dems will not like that he said these things. The interesting development will be seeing whether Bloomberg tries to walk it back or whether he will own it.

I didn't watch the vid so I'll take your word that Bloomberg said nothing racist. Here's the fricking problem, if Trump or another conservative said something similar to what Bloomberg said the DimMedia would twist and misrepresent that shite 24/7 as evidence of more conservative racism.
