From the perspective of being able to produce some product that is vital to national security, it was a systematic success.
It's just that in this case the assumption that the particular product it produced was vital, was wrong.

As far as I know, DJT has always believed the “vaccines” were great.

I’m still baffled by his praise of it before election and then constant bitching about the Trump shot by Democrats during the lead up to the election.
Then after the election Biden and Democrats went from “we never should taking the shot to we are mandating it” WTF

Probably not going to just follow along! I guess you find that appealing and just shut your mouth and do what your told. Weird “leadership” definition. Maybe read Harry Truman or George Washington. Different styles out there to be a leader.

A lot of conservatives have short memories. They don't remember how most of this board supported lockdowns in the beginning. Most won't admit it, but I remember being shocked with the number of conservatives who bought into the fear during Jan-Mar.
They don't remember most on this board repeating the "novel" claim and therefore we didn't know how to handle this flu-like virus at the time.
Most woke up quickly, but only a handful were calling out the BS from the very beginning.
They also don't seem to remember that democrats and media were demanding lockdowns until a vax was created. Without Trump implementing Operation Warp Speed, lockdowns would have dragged on and the economy would have taken an even bigger hit.
The vax gave republican governors the political cover to open up earlier. I'm not sure why this is always overlooked by the conservatives Monday morning quarterbacking the pandemic, but it is.
Add in that conservatives are still complaining about reduced government regulations to attack the leader of the party right before midterms, and we are in bizarro world again 6 years later.
