They are just going to dig in and try to outlast Trump like all of our adversaries. Only way to get them out is to physically do it through force using the military, national guard, Ice, and police.

Most of the board that participates in these conversations think that the majority of illegals work at Smithfield packing plants, etc., which is not accurate.
The vast, vast, vast majority of them work for a foreman or kitchen help or whatever basically as contractor. My friend that is a homebuilder doesn't hire Juan. He hires Pedro's Plumbing to do a job, and has no idea who is working for Pedro or what their work authorization is. Pedro's plumbing, if busted by USCIS, simply ceases to exist, and P2 Plumbing is born, just like how pool builders work.

There has been a drastic increase of arrests of people with Fake IDs. IDs that don't hold water when police try to run them through local and national databases when said person is detained or arrested.
Many of said people try to avoid giving personal details to the cops. And then openly admit that they got the State ID from the group sponsoring them, rather than through the DMV.
But claim "I'm foreign and didn't know any better".
Essentially what I'm saying... Is that yes, absolutely some of these people have documentation that LOOKS real.
And the organizations providing these, and the fake docs that allow them to actually get REAL IDs need to be held accountable too.

I have always been an advocate for holding those who pay for illegal labor accountable. Also, stop the check cashing industry which has formed because it allows the illegals a methodology for skipping the banks.

John Dingle Public who owns a landscape business doesn't have access to the databases you referenced.
The fact that law enforcement is arresting all of those people proves the statistic I cited.
It's not feasible to hold business owners accountable for hiring people with real-looking fake credentials, which is why LE doesn't do it, and never has.

Something the SAVE Act doesn't address is congressional apportionment. If Congress would remove all non citizens from congressional apportionment the Dims would lose 15-20 congressional districts.
The Dims would be screwed.....BIG TIME!!!!

I may not have said it the way that I wanted... it would have been a lot longer post. But was trying to give a bit more info to back up what you were saying.
These illegals have ways of fooling their way through the system. Depending on who is sponsoring them, or who they connected with after jumping the border.
And that point really needs to be driven in, that not all employment screening will catch them.
Feet on the ground, ears in the room can though.
In a perfect world, the employers would do their duty, and immediately call the authorities. I wish that there were more with the morals to do that.

At this point im fine with boarders closed, benefits cutt off, and get criminals out. If they are here now and working, not mooching, and we have the flow cut off, let em stay and work if they are working toward citizenship. Get the criminals out.
