I think it would have overshadowed everything else in Obama's presidency if he (or his surrogates) went to the trouble to fake the document in light of how quickly internet sleuths tore dan rather a new a-hole with his fake 'national guard' bush documents. So its HIGHLY unlikely he would have done this with the fear of how it could have blown up in his face.
2. Having said #1, because it took years for this to finally be produced and given how arrogant obama is, i can also see him rolling the dice and doing it anyway.
I lean towards #1 because obama couldn't POSSIBLY know what types of other documents and people might exist that could conclusively prove a fake.

Just the fact that it took years to produce it automatically makes it dubious. I mean, if you were running for President, and needed to prove your age and place of birth, wouldn't you make the trip to the Hawai'i Dept. of Vital Statistics and pay the $25 fee for a certified copy? And since this was not done immediately, it's clear that whatever was produced is complete bullshite.
Here's what's funny: The media kept making out how Donald Trump wasn't "qualified" to be President, yet according to the Constitution, the only qualifications are to be a natural born citizen and at least 35 years old, both of which are proven by a valid birth certificate!!

Couldn't they have taken them Obama BC and used it to make the supposed "source document"? I was hoping they would address this but didn't.

It's tough to find records like that.. I understand the dilemma of not producing documents that might show the fact you're some kinda cheat.

No clue if it's authentic.
But I did enjoy the hilarity of Meryl Streep referencing birth certificates in her condemnation of Trump when the origins of that narrative were traced back to the Clinton campaign IIRC

if it could be proved his Presidency would become null and void, he would be arrested for treason as well as anyone else who knew and kept quit. All 8 years years in the WH would be undone, the USSC justices he appointed would be gone, all votes they voted on would have to be redone...

Would love for it to be fake, but I don't think it matters any more. The damage is done by letting a community organizer run the country.
