I disagree with her, but all she did was lift the injunction.

She didn't direct TX to do anything.

We will see what she does on the actual merits.

I find it interesting that no other border states have chimed in. But no surprise since they are all run by lib retards.

Speaker of the House won't do Shite....governors have to step up!

Speaker did release a statement of support at least

quote:

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) sided with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) in his feud with the federal government over razor wire along the U.S.-Mexico border, saying Thursday that he would “back him up.”

“I stand with Governor Abbott. The House will do everything in its power to back him up,” Johnson wrote on X.

It's incredibly simple to stop the attraction of America as a refuge.

Put people who hire undocumented aliens in prison. If a CEO's company has some large number of them in its workforce, prosecute the CEO and lock him/her up.

Fine and maybe even imprison a housewife who hires an illegal.

That will end it in a hurry.

She deployed Arkansas National Guard to Texas this summer to help. I can't imagine what is keeping her from jumping on board here.

I mean, that sounds good and all, but ONLY if there is a failsafe way to ensure they aren't illegal.

Right now there isn't. Sure we have E-verify, but I can guarantee you that isn't 100%.

I'm in construction. We E-verify every applicant. We also perform background checks beyond a simple criminal check that includes a Social Security number check. Most of our employees require a TWIC card, which is another level of background check.

And guess what? They still get through. As an employer, that's enough for me. I don't have time to play inspector Clouseau. Are you suggesting that I do hard time?

The simple way to do this is to secure the border (obvious) and tax the frick out of remittances sent back to S. America.

The most simple way is to mine the northern bank of the Rio Grande.

It has never been this bad.

Go look at any chart for illegal border crossings.

Up to 17 governors have now stated they will back Texas. In what way? Don't know.

I've got 20 so far:

A potential nation or coalition including those 20 states would rank:
-3rd in economic GDP globally
-3rd in oil production (thats assuming current regs remain)
-2nd in natural gas production

And note that those numbers assume red states from the 2020 election such as Mississippi, Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky and Kansas wouldn't be a member of such a coalition.

It also excludes highly disputed states like MI, WI, AZ, NV and PA would not join as well.

Adding those states would put the total at 30 and would put the coalition at 1st or 2nd in all of the categories I outlined.
