Why is this being leaked?

This should be front and center of the Administration's defense.

"Our mission was to destroy the boat. It took four strikes to accomplish this mission. The number of survivors at any one point was irrelevant."

I'm disappointed. I want a full investigation.

We should be far more efficient with our due processing.

Wake me up when something happens to Obama for droning American citizens. No one actually gives a frick, they just think they found something they can latch on to until they move on to the next Trump story and forget about this one.

That's just good sound decision making.

You always attack until the threat is no longer able to go in the offensive against you.

When defending yourself and your country there is no such thing as too much.

The real problem is the targeting issues. Why didn’t the first missile hit as needed? Human or equipment error? 3 to many on that small craft, but at least they stayed and finished the mission. Fix the issue and no more waste energy. Could have taken out 4 times as many boats with the same costs

Don't really care. The prime point for me is that dope-peddling scumbags are dispatched from the living. That's always a win-win. I'm always for killing dope-peddlers, anywhere, anytime, any way.

But if I just HAVE to ponder the variables.... on one hand, using more than one missile isn't exactly fiscally responsible. On the other hand, if follow-up missiles are required, with injured survivors clinging to rails and having enough time to realize that their gruesome demise in only seconds away, and soon small fish will be nibbling at their floating entrails.... well, that's pretty darned golden, and probably worth the extra added expense!

The U.S. military struck an alleged drug-trafficking boat in the Caribbean that is at the center of a controversy involving Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth four times during a Sept. 2 attack, according to a US official who spoke to The Hill Wednesday morning on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive operations.

Soooo....

....what's the issue here? Sounds like a routine case of acting in the best interests of national security.

I'm quite certain that if the first barrage of kinetics had sunk the boat, it would have ended right then and there. The goal was to sink the boat, and it took four strikes. Case closed.

We need to use larger bombs so we only need one, or develop a blood bomb.

Drop a missile to sink vessel and then drop the blood bomb in and let the sharks to their thing.

I bet its getting hard to find boat captains.

There is if my President and Secretary of War says there is.

You can cry yourself to sleep at night over it, I won't.
