It's not what he thinks, it's what he says and does. He has made attacking the rights of a certain group/class of people a large part of his career.

But here is what I think is funny: he thinks that being gay is a choice. Now ask yourself as a straight person (I assume, I know shame on me), could you ever, EVER make the choice to be gay? I, for one, cannot ever imagine myself making such a choice. It's simply not the way I was born, I suppose.

So really think about it... how could anyone think they have a choice? The only possible way to have a choice to make about your sexuality is if you are somewhere in the "gray area" between straight and gay, right? In other words, bisexual. Just understand that it is a sliding scale. Most of us are very far to the straight end, while others are very far to the gay end. Others, still, are kind of somewhere in the middle. Some of them choose to be bisexual, while others seemingly battle making this "choice" to be straight or gay. This is apparently where Pence lies on the scale.

Being stupid is also rarely a choice.

But it doesn't make them right.

It's not always a choice. If a kid gets raped by his uncle, he has no choice but to identify sexuality as that with a man. Likewise, if a boy is raised without a father and has heavy feminine upbringing, he may not have a choice in the kind of person he seeks to be with. But you aren't born with the gay gene and it's a choice to take a dick in the arse

First of all, there’s a difference between saying that some gay people have made a choice to be gay versus saying that all gays made a choice to be gay.

If anyone thinks that there are no gays who have chosen to be “open” or “bi-sexual”, and who have changed their mind from being straight, to gay, to bi, back to straight, or any combination thereof, then you haven’t been listening to the gay community, and/or the ultra progressives. Their whole point is that people can choose and no one has the right to question those choices.

In my own experience, I have a neice who dated boys in high school, went to a liberal college and became a radical NY feminist, then became an open, head shaved lesbian who opened a “womyn’s bookstore”, then later went to Harvard business school to get an MBA, sold the bookstore, became straight again, married a rich guy from Harvard, and now has three children and is a stay at home mom.

My daughter has two best friends in her local arts-centered high school who dated boys, then decided they were gay and started dating each other, then broke up and started dating boys again. They see no inconsistency and don’t fret about the label of being gay or bi. They just “love who they want to love”. They are fine with the concept of someone choosing their sexuality.

It's not about being PC. It's about not being hateful and discriminatory.

It's not about whether the smart person's views are right or the stupid person's views are wrong. It's about whether being smart/stupid itself is right or wrong. Clearly it's neither, it's just the way we are.
