Video at this link - even within the same thirty second statement he goes from "no, we're not talking about lifting sanctions" to "of course if they behave we'll give them their money back." Why does he think Iran's money is frozen? Sanctions. Makes me worry he will eventually agree to some weak deal and just tell us up is down and black is white.

This is all fine and dandy (hitting the leaders), but they aren't the one doing any work. Start targeting the foot soldiers. They are harder to replace and you won't even need to kill most of them because when they see they are sacrificial pawns, many will tuck tail and flee.

This looks to be the reason for the strikes. The IRGC tried to target US Forces and Commercial traffic in the strait earlier today.

During the peace negotiations today Iran figured again that it was a good idea to go ahead and attempt a missile strike and send out a drone strike on a US ship.
