Why is the United States so concerned about any military activities not impacting the ceasefire? It very clearly does.

NEW—Explosion and fire reported at Pamchal 6 Tower, linked to the Islamic Republic Army Cooperative Foundation.

Initial reports also indicate a targeted elimination may have taken place. No official confirmation yet from Iranian authorities.

Early speculation suggests Brigadier General Ali Azmaei, the newly appointed commander of the IRGC Navy, may have been targeted and possibly eliminated during the Bandar Abbas strikes.

Azmaei is a senior IRGC naval commander best known for leading the IRGC’s 5th Naval Region, a strategically critical force tied to operations in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz.

If confirmed, the reported targeting of such a senior IRGC naval figure would mark a major escalation and another significant blow to the Islamic Republic’s military leadership structure.

He succeeded Alireza Tangsiri, the former IRGC Navy commander who was eliminated during the war.

This is all fine and dandy (hitting the leaders), but they aren't the one doing any work. Start targeting the foot soldiers. They are harder to replace and you won't even need to kill most of them because when they see they are sacrificial pawns, many will tuck tail and flee.

Just taken care of the source of who authorized those naval attacks. Just a nice little reminder of who is the boss.

This looks to be the reason for the strikes. The IRGC tried to target US Forces and Commercial traffic in the strait earlier today.

JUST IN: The US military has STRUCK Iranian drones and destroyed a drone-launching unit, after Iran FIRED at a US commercial ship — Axios

Iran had reported EXPLOSIONS in Bandar Abbas, along the Strait

These are SELF DEFENSE strikes again, and an official told Reuters that they were to protect US forces and maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

A military site was targeted that posed a threat.

Good, we have EVERY right to defend our interests during the ceasefire!

During the peace negotiations today Iran figured again that it was a good idea to go ahead and attempt a missile strike and send out a drone strike on a US ship.

Just another typical day of negotiations that are going nicely?

Would require less mental gymnastics to just nuke them and call it a humanitarian covid vaccination.

unless the damage to Iran's military stuff is 20 times greater than the cost of the missile from US, the US military is just screwing around
