Iran is not going to capitulate. Its people are not going to topple the regime for us and I doubt whatever replaced it would be any more US-friendly.
We've got to accept that the only path forward is to destroy Iran root to stem or give up and allow a new world order where free trade by sea is over.

Maybe. The enemy gets a vote, and if they end up actually killing a US service member during this "ceasefire" I don't think we will be able to avoid that.

I agree, the Saudis need to step up. The Emiratis are setting the standard of what a middle eastern country should be in the modern world, they're actually fighting for their sovereignty and aligning with the West to (hopefully) end terrorism and create a peaceful ME.
I don't understand how these back asswards IRGC goatfrickers can look at what UAE has become and how prosperous their nation is, and NOT want that. They're launching bottle rockets from the trailer park to keep the riches and prosperity out
