Corporate earnings are GOOD, employment is good and this gasoline, this temporary aberration will be over in a matter of weeks or a MONTH."

Until all of the ship owners/insurers/operators feel like they can freely transit the strait with the same relative level of safety they had prior to February 28, we are going to stay in this uncertain state
Yes, you could argue that Iran could have closed the straight anytime they wanted, and attacked ships at will. But obviously the shipping world at large was comfortable with the risk level. Otherwise 100+ ships a day wouldn't have gone through without incident.

If you want to hear the side claiming that this won't be resolved quickly AND you have almost two hours, this is a thorough explanation.
Essentially, they argue that:
1) the Iranian regime would rather die than surrender;
and,
2) Iran has had to deal with dire economics for quite awhile, so they have workarounds that will enable them to survive the economic storm longer than the US public will tolerate the rising prices.

Thanks for all the updates, BB.
Work popped up this morning so I had to quit checking updates for a little bit. I'll check the x-verse for updates later this morning to see if anything has developed.

Four loitering munitions coming from Iran towards the country were detected, where three missiles were successfully intercepted over the country's territorial waters, and the last one fell into the sea.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the sounds heard in scattered areas of the country are the result of the successful interception of the aerial threats.
The Ministry urges the honourable public to obtain information from its official sources and verify the facts, in addition to adhering to all public safety measures upon receipt of warning messages.

There are unconfirmed reports that there is a ship just north Dubai with it's engine room on fire.

If the attack on the UAE turns out to be really from Iran we have to respond.
