President Trump told me: "I see no point of sending them on an 18 hour flight in the current situation [of the negotiations]. It's too long. We can do it just as well by telephone. The Iranians can call us if they want. We are not gonna travel just to sit there"
When asked whether it means he is going to resume the war Trump told me: "No. It doesn't mean that. We haven't thought about it yet"

If we bombed Iran`s empty oil and gas tanks this would cause immediate shut down of oil pumping from their fields.

Floating roof type tanks are mostly used for oils and gas storage.

It is easy to see what tanks are empty especially from the air because the roofs are settled at the bottom when the tank is empty.

This action would greatly increase the pressure on Iran.

Even if Trump just threatened to do it pressure would be applied.

I am amazed that the IRGC has forced the invention of a completely new type of oil trading — in COOKING OIL.

As IRGC leadership tries to funnel more and more money into their offshore accounts, the regime's colossal economic mismanagement of Iran has forced the proud Iranian people to barter to feed their families, and to become dependent on their neighbors.

Under @POTUS, the United States is committed to supporting the freedom and dignity of the Iranian people after 47 years of corruption.

Trump is not going to destroy stored oil! He'll say that oil belongs to the people of Iran and will want them to use to rebuild or at least help feed themselves once IRGC is dealt with. Makes no sense to destroy it as it's not going anywhere.

He's not gto do a bridge and power plant day either. He may destroy some bridges, but he's not going to destroy much power. Doing that would really have the people and not the IRGC.

All his boisterous talk about plant and bridge day is just talk attempts to keep heat on IRGC and to distract them. It's obvious.

The funny/sad part is most people think we have a ceasefire right now so that we can broker a peace deal. Most people think the Trump administration is being tricked into pausing the war. How people can't see that we are waging a war right now that weakens the IRGC while we aren't taking any fire from the enemy.is simply depressing/hilarious.

Exactly. Without spending billions on munitions.

So we’re not supposed to blow up our closest bridges and power plants?

Agree about power plants. They might target the transmission lines that leave the plant but I doubt they would attack the plant itself. Taking out a small section of the transmission lines gives the same result but could be repaired easily after the regime falls. A couple of A10’s could make sure that the lines aren’t repaired until the end.

This regime needs to meet their end. They will not bend at the knee. They have a 47 year track record that says they will not ever become good actors. As Metallica says, Kill em all!

I said bomb empty oil tanks so that they do not have anywhere to pump the oil they are drilling now and have to shut in wells quickly.

It`s been reported that Iran still has empty oil tanks to pump to and this gives them more time and less pressure.

There are no empty storage tanks. Everything is full or about to be. In fact a few pages earlier it was reported Iran is pulling in an abandoned oil tanker to use as storage I don't think I'm mistaken to say at this point all available tankers and land storage is at capacity. Could be within a week pumping ceases or starts getting pumped on the ground.

Certainly no need for any bombs as they're at the end of the line.

I think the military will not destroy even the transmission lines. I think they'll disable transmission lines and equipment using graphite bombs. 3 or 5 days later, or however long it takes to clear out the filaments, we'll drop more graphite bombs. Disable, not destroy.

Time to buy off and give immunity to some senior military to take over and hand the power to an interim government. We gave Nazi scientists and rocket engineers immunity after the war to benefit us.

Back people into a corner with no way out and they become very dangerous.

Most likely no offer was made, Donald is just cooking the regime internally by throwing out statements like this.

President Donald Trump said he canceled the planned trip by US negotiators to Pakistan because there was “no reason” to have people travel for 16 or 17 hours when Iran’s position was not good enough, but said Tehran sent an improved paper shortly after the cancellation.

“There’s no reason to wait two days, have people traveling for 16, 17 hours. We’re not doing it that way,” Trump told reporters before leaving Palm Beach International Airport. “When they want, they can call me. We have all the cards. We won everything.”

Asked what had changed since he said the United States was dealing with whoever was in charge in Iran, Trump said: “Nothing. It’s just that they gave us a paper that should have been better.”

“Interestingly, immediately when I canceled it, within 10 minutes, we got a new paper that was much better,” he added.

Asked whether Iran had offered anything in return for a 20-year suspension of enriched uranium, Trump said: “They offered a lot, but not enough.”
