“The United States has all of the cards, Iran has NONE.”
That’s when Stephen Miller just drew the line in the sand with the Iranian regime.
MILLER: “President Trump is a man of peace, President Trump wants peace.”
“But President Trump has also been clear: America will not be trifled with, America will not be bullied, and America never, EVER, be threatened by a nuclear armed Iran.”
“Not now. NOT EVER.”
“And he has made that CRYSTAL clear, painfully clear to the Iranians.”

The Trump administration has approached the heads of Ford, General Motors and GE Aerospace to see whether they would be willing to shift some of their factory capacity, workforce and manufacturing expertise toward producing munitions, weapons components and military vehicles.
Wall Street Journal reports that the goal is to broaden the defense industrial base beyond traditional weapons contractors such as Lockheed Martin and RTX by tapping into the massive scale and efficiency of civilian manufacturing giants.
The administration wants to put U.S. military production on a "wartime footing" to rebuild stocks quickly and prepare for potential future needs.
The WSJ report compares this to the U.S. "Arsenal of Democracy Approach”!during WWII.
Back then, Detroit's automakers such Ford, GM and Chrysler largely halted civilian car production and pivoted to making tanks, bombers, trucks, engines, rifles, ammunition and other military equipment that helped win the war.

Are we expanding the countries where we have bases or is to replace EU bases? Indonesia, now Morocco? Explain this!
I think these new relationships in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Indonesia will be our alliances (and bases) going forward when we disengage from NATO.
Will be fun seeing the panic in Europe when we leave.

The problem is that there are limits to what air power alone can do especially when dealing with Islamic nutjobs who are armed among a population who are not.
UK gave Ukraine 120,000 drones yesterday. We should do the same for the Iranian uprising and get some advisors from Ukraine too. Gamers will have a virtually zero learning curve for operating drones.

By the time final discussions get underway it will be time to cheer on the next Arab spring and evacuate all Americans from those countries.
Well, that was the Dims that did that

Well, it might as well be that the US doesn't control the airspace if they can't manage to land a simple cargo plane with supplies, nor have the population in a position to even have men organized. How much does it take to load cargo planes and have them land in remote areas to be unloaded by this suppose to be 90% of the population?
Even with our airpower to protect them? Its not an impossible James Bond type move. Land and unload. A pre-planned distribution of weapons. To a country with all the males having gone thru 2? years of military service? They secure a large area and the US protects them with aircraft if necessary. The area becomes stronger and grows. Start in areas already mostly not Islamic, whatever.
Something isn't adding up.

You honestly think they would just want to build nuclear power plants when they cant even sustain a power grid???
I think the original poster meant Iran could produce uranium concentrate for sale to other countries. The US for instance, nuclear generators imported 99% of their uranium concentrate in 2023, with the majority coming from Canada, Australia, Kazakhstan.

Do you really think drones in the hands of everyday civilians would have any impact against the IRGC? Seriously?

?? PRESIDENT TRUMP JUST NOW dropped this epic moment: "Do not attempt to breach the blockade. Vessels will be boarded for interdiction and seizure transiting to or from an Iranian port. Turn around and prepare to be boarded!"
Any chance we can deport 50K Somalis and get them involved in this effort? They have the experience.
Kind of a twofer. Let them keep the ships and cargo.

Three IRGC special forces operatives were killed in a targeted armed attack in Saravan.
- Second Lieutenant Mehdi Nasiri Sadeh
- First Sergeant Ahmad Sheikhi
- First Sergeant Mohammad Reza Shaghuzai
The attack is part of a growing wave of armed resistance in Iran targeting IRGC assets.

USNAVCENT expands the Iran blockade worldwide. Iranian vessels, OFAC sanctioned ships, and suspected contraband carriers can now be boarded and seized by U.S. forces anywhere, with the move targeting Iran’s shadow fleet of more than 570 tankers.
Key points
• Blockade in force since April 13 now applies worldwide under belligerent rights
• Neutral flagged vessels tied to Iran or sanctions also at risk
• $400M + per day in Iranian oil revenue at risk
• Nearly 90% of Iran’s trade is sea based
• Rising risk of economic collapse and currency crisis
