The ones Trump and Vance are talking to aren't the ones they need to be talking to, and I highly doubt the ones they need to be talking to will ever agree to our demands.
This.. Vance has previously stated one of the issues they were having with the negotiations in Pakistan was the Iranian delegation kept having to check in with someone in Iran... So it was clear the negotiators had no real authority...
The IRGC reminds me of the Knight in Monty Python that lost all of its limbs but kept stating "its only a flesh wound"... They really do seem to be out of touch....
Or there is some back-channel communication with some other party (Democrats??) that give them a reason to simply hang on...

It's all a ploy by the regime to give them an out if they don't like the deal.
"Well, so n so doesn't run the country so how could they agree to a deal we didn't agree with?"
It's all bs.

frick it, lets hammer their asses as soon as the other carrier gets on location.
And blast the Houthi's also.
Give the other Gulf countries some targets and see how they handle that to give them some confidence.

Based on our Persian sources, the mood inside regime circles is darker than public messaging: three months of unpaid military salaries, $250B–$500B in damage, and a hardline narrative that a nuclear weapons test is now obligatory. Pragmatists, blocked by the military-security apparatus, are meeting loyalty tests through harsh & escalatory rhetoric.

This is the power they were reaching for with their nuclear program. Now it is just a fantasy thanks to Trump.
