I had a thought last night. I can sort of see Bibi wanting to do this whole thing go attack hezbollah (Iran proxy) while US sets Iran down a few pegs with our attacks, all the while bibi convincing Trump that this could be done after Venezuela.
What they didn’t account for was the strait of Hormuz and Iran having some fight back.
So now that we’re here, we’re stuck.
And also I don’t like the trickery we and Israel did to lure the IRGC for negotiations.,imagine the inverse if president Xi did that and “negotiations” turned out to be a bombing of the building.
War was the wrong move at this time, in hindsight of course.

The 18 billion they sold, they claim, is from the start of the war 28th Feb.
They say they sell 67 billion annually so this 18 billion annualized would be a 55% decrease.
In addition, China is their largest customer, China aint paying FOB Iran, its CIF China and probably 60 days credit after that.
So their claim is mostly accounts receivable on goods delivered and floating stock that was in transit.
I would bet their exports are probably down 75-80% with the blockade.
But hey the MSM never misses the opportunity to diss America. And they aint very good at math while doing it

I wonder if Trump claiming the Kurds kept weapons meant for the Iranian people was a straw man. Maybe we did, and when we found out just how much artillery Iran had, we told the Kurds to chill until we degraded Iran.
Why else would Iran attack them now. They have enough problems without stirring that hornets nest.

My biggest criticism of this or any campaign since the 1940s is that they won't let us off the god damn chain and just get it done.
We out power, and out class our opponents in every imaginable way (except in a few cases manpower, which is negated with tech,weapon systems, and tactics) yet we are forced to fight on 1 foot, with an arm tied behind our back, and one eye closed....for the feels.

First I will say I never served so I may not know what I am talking about but I agree with what you say.
I believe our military should be a terrible monster that is locked in a cage. When diplomacy fails the President should tell the military what he wants to accomplish. Then the Generals should come up with a plan to accomplish that in the fastest timeframe with the least amount of deaths (of our troops). And then the President should that the frick out of things and let the people who train for this crap work their plan.
In the case with Iran, if the goal is to remove the regime and end Irans support of terror then I would assume the best case is to reduce Irans military to where we have now, then I would not enter a ceasefire unless Iran unconditionally surrenders. Then I would bomb any and all regime members and their families at every turn. When one sticks there head out of a hole, blow it off. Make them believe that we will kill them all and the only chance for survival is to surrender.

All the chatter from the osint accounts is that something massive is going to happen this weekend. I've seen this song and dance so many times now, I don't believe we will do anything of real consequence until I see it.
What most likely happens this weekend:
We start some heavy strikes across Iran. Maybe knock out a couple of power plants but not target any of the IRGC leadership. Probably knock the power out in Tehran or parts of the surrounding area... When it looks like we are going to drop the hammer, at the 11th hour, Qatar, or a combination of Qatar/Pakistan/Turkey manage to get us to stop and try talks again for the umpteenth time.
Kushner and Witkoff fly their corrupt, little gremlin asses back over to Qatar to get their marching orders from the Emir to keep their money flow secure and delay the destruction of the Islamic Republic via "talks". Trump tells the press we are going to make them pay the next time, if they don't honor their end of the MOU.
Rinse and repeat as needed for next few weeks/months.

Bingo. We may bomb a bit more than usual but then the dogs will be called off and Trump will put out a message saying that due to messages from "regional partners" or "the respected Field Marshal of Pakistan" or "the Emir of Qatar", it makes sense to give peace a chance because Iran promises their serious this time and want "to make a deal". The same old song and dance we've heard and will continue to hear. It really is ridiculous.

The Kurds who kept the weapons were Iranian Kurds (I think).
The Kurds that Iran was attacking were Iraqi Kurds.
I'm not sure how aligned those two groups are. There are quite a few different groups of Kurds, and they don't all get along.
