How much control does any faction have at this point. If there's no definite command structure in place there may not be any hope for a ceasefire to stick.
Cease fires suck. We should stop at nothing short of regime change. Which is what I think will happen. IDK.
I do know that if the IRGC isn't dismantled I will be pissed that we ever started stirring up shite. If you aren't going to finish the job then don't go in and waste billions of dollars and make things worse than before.

I think it is safe to say that the overall communication between us, the Pakis, Iran, and Israel regarding this agreement has been mostly shite to this point.
Certainly with regard to Israel. Israel was apparently not a party to these negotiations. The Paki's and Iran really fricked up by not including them. It is not our responsibility to include them and it's insane to suggest that we force them to comply with the terms of this cease fire. Israel has taken the brunt of this terrorist regime's transgressions. They're doing their own thing.

Is it possible without a massive amount of boots on the ground. The combined Iranian forces could deploy up to a half a million troops. That could be a brutal quagmire waiting to happen.

The island of Qeshm should be taken as it defines the narrow part of the Straits. Make it an international protectorate under American control and a base to keep the Straits open.
It has a population of about 150k.

I don't think trump will play this open /close strait thing for much longer. He is giving those in the region the opportunity to step up and free if for good. If they don't do it soon I think he's gonna take it with force.
But the knee-jerk reactions to everything he says is hilarious.

Iran making it look like TACO might be accurate. If they broke the ceasefire you have to do what you said you would do before the ceasefire. Otherwise you make America look like a little bitch.
I’m beginning to wonder if the end game wasn’t regime change to begin with, things got tough, and now we are chickening out and letting these clowns run the straight. Pathetic.

They were, per Bibi's press conference earlier today.

I think so. I think all we need to provide is intel, air support and weapons. There will be absolutely boots on the ground but they (other than special operations type stuff) will be NON USA boots.
I don't envision anything at all like in Ukraine where there is a front line. The entire country will be the front line. it will be basically a small arm war. Tanks and artillery (unless it is on our side) will be a nonfactor. Because air support can easily take out stuff like that when you have air superiority. Anytime the Iran even attempts to move troops from point A to point B, they are subjecting themselves to total destruction.
The Kurds in the Northwest and the rebels in the Southeast would quickly take those two regions. The rest would fall one by one.

Bibi already said they were involved so not sure what you are going on about? Vance said Lebanon was not a part of the ceasefire, but Israel has agreed to back off to allow for negotiations to proceed.

Interestingly, Ghalibaf's list seems to be different from the one reported on last night. #6 on his list is Iran's right to enrichment, which isn't the same as #6 as reported by the Iran state media. It's not promising that both his list (as an official negotiator) and the media list have enrichment as a clause though.

Another gift of the internet. Only acknowledge what advances your argument.

You're the one who can't read, my man. Israel is not a party to the ceasefire, which is why they're still carrying out operations against Hezbollah. Vance has said as much. They're offering to pull back so talks can continue, but a ceasefire in Lebanon was never part of the agreement.

You can have a right to enrich but then agree not to enrich.

Writers have been doing that forever as far as I can tell, oftentimes passing their convincing propaganda to an audience that never heard the other side of the debate. The internet has made the technique more obvious because we have better access to all sides of an issue, if we're willing to dig. So the new technique is to try and bury any uncomfortable viewpoint with a flood of nonsense. Everybody does that now and disinformation bots are becoming very common.

What’s the latest stance on this “war” fellow Polibros?
I’m just genuinely curious as I’ve stayed confused for much of this conflict. TIA
