An old email friend from early AOL days is a Marine who saw the highway of death first hand.

Today hackers, likely from #Iran's regime, have been hacking former U.S. officials X accounts, posting inflammatory content to increase polarization in U.S. domestic political discourse.

The IRGC still has a strong troop force. Sure, their air defense, nuclear capabilities, and naval capabilities have been destroyed but they will still hold on to their troops.
They have anywhere from 200,000 to 300,000 troops left.

How do you split up at ejection. Did the weapons officer eject but the pilot stayed with the plane?
Did the pilot expect the weapons officer to eject?
I read somewhere the pilot may have ejected at low altitude based on the condition of a parachute and seat they found.

Without support from the population they wouldn’t last long. Most would surrender without firing a shot. Best option is to take the first amnesty deal and hope the public doesn’t hang them off whatever bridge is left standing

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has approximately 125,000 active personnel as of 2024, with estimates suggesting a total force size of around 150,000 to 190,000 when including various branches and affiliated groups.
Maybe you hit 300,000 when you factor in the 12 year olds they will be willing to throw out there.

I don't disagree
They know why they are there and the risks

I would imagine that the pilot kept trying to control the aircraft and waited for ejections until the weapons officer had ejected and was clear of the aircraft. Just a few seconds at altitude and speed could make a difference in landing spots. Then I would imagine it would be easy for them to pick different hiding spots or bug out routes.

BREAKING: "We know that one of the US crew members was SUCCESSFULLY RESCUED" in Iran
"One pilot was able to eject. It's a good sign that seat was intact."
An intense search is underway for the second crew member
"It's getting to be dark in Iran, it will be easier for the helicopters, special forces, that specialize in going after a downed pilot."

Why would a chaplain be involved in any invasion planning?
