One could argue we’re in this “conflict” as a result of zero supervision by IAEA.

Any deal with an Islamic regime, whose religious text expressly endorses lying to protect its existence, has to have very transparent and very clear enforcement mechanisms.

And we should trust them!!!

Nope.

Anything less than full acceptance by Iran of that 15 point plan with complete verification of compliance PLUS a regime change to a non-Islamist, democratically elected government with a Pahlavi-led transition would be essentially ‘kicking the can down the road’ to a future US administration to handle. Trump’s team needs to hold firm on this or the Dems will win the mid-terms and DJT’s last two years in office will be duplicates of 2019-2020.

Anything short of regime change is a failure. You cannot allow the IRGC and the Islamic Republic to exist in any form ever again. Doing so would be a slap in the face of the Iranian people who have been held hostage in their own lands for 47 years and just continue the cycle of Mullahs and their fanatics pursuing death for anyone outside of their religious orbit.

This gives Vance the opportunity to say he met with Iran and attempted to negotiate peace before sending troops and there was no other choice in a presidential debate someday.

Exactly as intended. They want a failed, fractured state.

It's not safe to assume we know how this plays out. The Ayatollas may have lost their grip. The IRCG appears to be in charge at the moment, but that's unstable because it's a new government, its leadership is in flux, and its power has been sharply diminished by two weeks of bombing. The economy of 90 million people is currently in shambles and that destabilizes things even more for the foreseeable future. Israel and the US may arm and coordinate with dissidents.

In other words, even if the continuous bombing stops today, regime change will be on the table for a good long while.
