What I was saying was if you read my follow up responses that if we are not going to do what it takes then we need to wash our hands of this. The current path we are on is amounting to nothing. Maybe I could've been a little clearer on what I meant. That's my bad.

BREAKING: The IRGC’s Sepah News says the proposed Strait of Hormuz agreement with Oman has been postponed, citing U.S. interference and President Trump’s recent threats.
Tehran said it will not finalize any agreement “under the shadow of threats,” adding that the Strait will not reopen while the United States continues what it describes as violations. Iran also reiterated that any future reopening would be conducted under its full sovereign authority, with transit fees imposed on all vessels.
The Tuesday deadline has come and gone and the IRGC and the IR are still not backing down.

Sure, they’ll reach a “deal”, “MOU” or “understanding” and an hour later the IRGC will attack a ship or two rendering the deal worthless.

Are you saying that is directly related to us lifting sanctions on entities linked to the IRGC? Because the stock market has reached all time highs before without that happening

There is some reporting that Treasury removed Iran-related sanctions from its website. A Treasury official tells me, “This is not indicative of any shift in U.S. policy toward the Government of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—Qods Force, any designated terrorist organization, or any person who supports or acts on behalf of any of these. Today’s removal was done as part of the normal administrative process upon review of the specifics related to FBA.”
Here’s what happened:
—OFAC removed sanctions on Fly Baghdad Airlines (FBA) and its two aircraft. FBA is being removed from the SDN List after having submitted petitions and going through the administrative reconsideration process. FBA has demonstrated major changes to their operations such that their listing is no longer warranted.
—Counterterrorism and Iran-related removals are not indicative of any shift in U.S. policy toward the Government of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—Qods Force (IRGC-QF), any designated terrorist organization, or any person who supports or acts on behalf of any of these.
—Today’s removal was done as part of the normal administrative process upon review of the specifics related to FBA.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a politician destroy his credibility so spectacularly in 6 months.
It’s like a train wreck. We’ll never get the whole story but I bet it’s insane how this entire thing is being managed.

How many of the Generals/Admirals who got fired in the run up to the Iran war were pushed out because they said, "You have to put boots on the ground to control the SOH" or "What do we do if Iran doesn't do what we want them to do?"
The former and retired officers probably won't talk while the war is in progress, but once it's over, I expect to see a lot of interviews/books discussing the decision making in the run up to the war and how we've managed it since it started.

U.S. intelligence assessments, reported since March 2026 by anonymous U.S. and European intelligence officials speaking to the Washington Post, AP, Reuters, and the Wall Street Journal, have provided a wealth of evidence to assess that Russia has likely transferred upgraded components and even versions of the Shahed drone family, along with targeting information, to support Iranian and IRGC operations against U.S. forces in the Middle East and its Gulf allies.
In addition, on 2 March 2026, a Shahed-type one-way attack drone struck RAF Akrotiri, a British Sovereign Base Area on Cyprus. Wreckage recovered from the strike contained a Kometa-M satellite navigation module which is manufactured by the U.S. sanctioned firm AO VNIIR-Progress based in Cheboksary and St. Petersburg.
The unit is a controlled-reception-pattern antenna array designed to defeat GPS jamming. This module has been documented repeatedly in Russian Geran-2 drones recovered on Ukrainian territory. Its presence in the Akrotiri wreckage is a forensic finding, examined by British authorities on British sovereign territory, a Five Eyes partner, and independent of any other intelligence assessments.
Some of the upgrades to Shahed that Russia made include hardened anti-jam arrays, terrain-contour-matching, and in some airframes, either FPV-style, man-in-the-loop terminal control or autonomous electro-optical terminal seekers for targeting in the final approach. These modifications originate from Russian battlefield engineering and are not linked to legacy Shahed designs.
The direction of the Shahed pipeline has reversed. Russia now exports its own combat-refined version of that technology, and reportedly targeting information as well, back to Iran, the country that supplied the original design, which is now using the technology to target Americans and regional allies.

Idk why we have just been hitting Iran this whole time when it seems like we should be hitting Oman too. They have consistently allied with Iran in regards to the strait.
