Trump's statements are helping to keep the price of oil/gasoline down and it is causing the fracture of the regime in Iran. The different factions are at odds with each other. He will continue to do this until he is ready to release total hell on Iran.

There are still a handful of people posting in this thread who find a silver lining in everything Trump says or does.

Many believe other things can be happening that we’re unaware of. We found out last week that ships were being secretly escorted through the SOH. The market has reacted in a way that supports that claim. Perhaps there is more to the story than the general public knows and optimism is not so foolish.

Reminder that the Iranians had already said — last night — that they weren't signing anything today.

I dispute this strongly. Iran started this "war" 47 years ago when they seized our embassy and took our people hostage.

Bibi is going to be Trump’s made-up reason why he can’t get a deal done. It’s obvious that is the direction that he is heading, and it’s comical at this point.

And also a handful who find fault with everything Trump says or does. And probably considerably more than either of those groups are the ones who have stopped actively following the thread during the lull, and are waiting to see how it plays out.

Hypocrite

I don’t agree.

Iran has been a large data point I do not agree with DJT’s handling.

That acknowledged, there are many other things domestically or internationally that I have agreed with DJT’s handling.

Aside from Obama giving the green light to eliminate Bin Laden, which I agreed with and gave him credit for - there was little to nothing domestically or internationally with which I agreed with the Obama or Biden administrations.

Similar handling of Iran from either would have been yet another data point with either admin.

So why would I rant and rave similarly against a guy I have otherwise largely agreed with vs. a similar level against two guys that I otherwise, rarely agreed with?

Absolutely. I highly recommend it.

Which was all BS.

Trump doesn't want a deal unless he gets everything. And he knows Iran will never agree to it. Thus the continued tweets to keep the oil market believing

What are you basing this on? It looks to me like he’s desperate to surrender so he can declare victory.
