There is no realistic "win" in the current situation unless Iran allows independent experts to have full access to its nuclear program and fuel stockpiles.

And it would have to include opening the Strait without conditions...

I don't see Iran agreeing those terms no matter how much we bomb...

The sources said the gaps were narrowed on three key issues: - The mechanism for releasing Iran's frozen assets — the most important issue for the Iranians - Arrangements for reopening the Strait of Hormuz during the 60-day ceasefire period - How negotiations over Iran's nuclear program will be conducted during the 60-day ceasefire period

So we’re going to pay them to open the strait and agree not to attack them while negotiating the nuclear piece?

I swear I’ve seen this movie before.

this was just a concept of that agreement.

Concepts of a peace deal with Iran.

Concepts of a plan to replace Obamacare.

Concepts of an Iranian nuclear weapon.

All a mere weeks away.

Mark my words, the Iranian people will get shafted yet again and the Islamic Republic will soldier on, more confident than ever.

That is definitely wrong. The Islamic Republic was ended within a week of the start of this war. What is in power now is a military dictatorship of the IRGC.

You said this was just a concept of that agreement. Is this just essentially setting the stage for deeper talks? TRUMP: It's a very strong memorandum of understanding

He is attempt to make a deal with my 4 year old that doesn’t want to get out of the pool or leave the beach

Eventually you either rip them out or they have a meltdown and you rip them out, ether way talking doesn’t work

As I said earlier in the thread, Trump wants to go down as the guy who got the regime to sign a deal

Obama got them to sign a deal. It wasnt worth the paper it was written on and neither will this one if it is signed by the IRGC.

The only way for Trump to salvage his administration is to do whatever it takes to force Iran to unconditionally surrender.

And I dont think he has the balls to do that.

And I proudly voted for him 6 times, 3 primaries and 3 general elections. I agree with 99% of the things he has done (DONE, not the dumbshit the tweets), but if he donest get rid of the IRGC he is a complete failure.

Could you elaborate? (I am aware of the flaws, but what part of the deal did Iran violate and when?)

There is enough proof and reporting now to say that this was never a "deal" as Donald had presented it in his post. This was just an extension of the ceasefire and an Iranian pinky promise to maybe talk about some stuff during that 60 day time frame. It is like we rewound 60 days or whatever to the lead up to the first "deal".

Donald did call it a, "Strong memorandum of understanding.", so there's that.

What a time to be alive, when you can shoot down aircraft and it’s written off as a little hijinx among foes.
