They are attacking neighboring countries hoping those countries put pressure on us to stop. It’s backfired.
Their neighbors are mobilizing their militaries in response.

Imagine being so stupid, that you carry this out when your entire senior leadership has been turned into dust. What a stupid group.

Their foreign minister (I guess he wasn't killed yesterday like was reported) said that the command structure has collapsed and that these people are operating without leadership and going off of orders given before the strikes began. They're just shooting blindly.

You must include the French/Mexican war that is the reason for Cinco de Mayo. It literally is the only war Mexico won.

There is a protest at the embassy in Baghdad. People in support of the Iranians. They have set fire to some building (the embassy?) and now there is gunfire and explosions being heard.

So this reinforces the idea that the coalition expects an extended phase, not a quick off ramp.
I wonder how many Iranians are dedicated supporters of the regime, and will remain so even when the paychecks stop coming? How many are willing to sacrifice everything for the cause? I'm far from an expert on any kind of warfare, but when the opponent can surveil and harass you from above with impunity, aided by countless spotters on the ground, it seems like moving forces and supplies quickly becomes a huge problem

US and Israel plan to keep striking Iranian regime targets in the coming days, focusing on units tasked with crushing protests.
The goal is clear: Weaken the regime’s ability to crack down on protests and create space for Iranians to challenge it from within.
Israel is expected to accelerate the pace of attacks, hitting dozens of high-profile targets in an effort to further shake the regime’s stability.

Iraq is increasing the frontline now of the Iran war. Iranian-backed groups in Iraq are targeting US forces; Iran and its militias are targeting Kurdish Iranian opposition groups such as PDKI, PAK, Komala; meanwhile it also appears the Iranian-backed militias such as KH and AAH have been targeted by airstrikes; and now protests in Baghdad
This we can see how Iraq is a frontline
Iranian-backed Iraqi militias vs US forces
Iranian-backed Iraqi militias vs KRG
Iranian-backed Iraqi militias vs Kurdish Iranian opposition groups
Pro-Iran protesters in Baghdad vs US
Iran targeting opposition groups in the Kurdistan region
Airstrikes against Iranian-backed militias

If tweet fails to load, click here. The fact China hasn’t intervened makes me think they’d rather interact with the new Iranian leadership
But something is amiss with them not reacting more strongly currently
