Oil prices dropped after Trump said a deal with Iran could be reached in “two or three days.”
Gas at my local Costco dropped from $4.09 to $3.89 yesterday!
That's winning!!!

We can only hope he does do this. Hopefully now he realizes that the only thing this regime understands is death and destruction and that they will never negotiate in good faith.

He should have figured that out within a week after the "ceasefire" began.

A reporter from Fox News claims he spoke directly to Trump.
quote:
President Trump shared new details about the heroic actions of the US Army Apache helicopter pilots whose quick thinking helped them narrowly escape a fiery death at the hands of a deadly Iranian attack drone.
Speaking to Fox News Wednesday, the president said a drone laden with explosives had “lodged between” the pilots inside the helicopter as it was flying low over enemy territory — fully engulfed in flames, but failing to explode as intended.
“At any moment it could have exploded,” Trey Yingst told the network after speaking with Trump, who called the harrowing incident “a miracle.”
“And so we’re trying to take down the helicopter with the drone lodged into this gunship without it exploding. There was a lot of heat inside the cockpit of this helicopter, and ultimately these two pilots were able to take it down into the sea,” he said, quoting the president.

So you are referring to Lebanese Americans then? I am talking about the people still in the region.

No sir. Lebanese citizens. I’m well travelled and 1/4 Lebanese.

The country is currently run by hezbollah. They might see Israel in a more favorable light because of this.
Does this mean they want Israel to control them? Obviously not. Would they prefer it? Maybe for now. Probably not for long.
They want sovereignty. They want to rule themselves. No Israel. No Hezbollah. And that is how it should be.
Israel wants to control Lebanon. I don’t think many Lebanese want that.

I don't see evidence that Israel wants to control Lebanon nor any other sovereign state. They just don't want to be bombed and attacked. I have little doubt that Israel is cynically expanding into the West Bank and would like Gaza, but they have no interest in Lebanon other than self defense.

Israel wants to create a new Gaza in southern Lebanon that will be a buffer zone so they can keep hezbollah from attacking. This sounds simple enough until you factor in the hundreds of thousands of people who will be displaced due to this. Christians will be displaced, and these people absolutely refuse to leave their ancestral homelands. It will get bad. All of the Christian leaders of Lebanon are completely against this idea. So I’m not sure who you were talking to.

Oh the Orange man knew that was the case. However, he wants a Nobel Peace Prize. Trump also wants to show the world that he is the greatest dealmaker in history. I have to admit that if he got the IRGC to agree to a deal that either removes themselves from power or basically neuters themselves then he probably would deserve that title.

I think they want a neighbor who doesn’t launch rockets and attacks at them. To this point Lebanon has not been able to secure their own territory.
Israel may feel its needs to control it for their own safety. Especially if they are doing most of the work of liberating it.

I think that base has been mostly abandoned. Also, its not the first time it has been hit. Someone, correct me if I am incorrect.
