Oversampling doesn't usually get you into the 80s, btw. That's just you guys being on the wrong side of public opinion on this.
Now we're getting in to wording of the poll and sampling methodology. Both are horseshite to say the least.
And I know far, far more about this subject than you

The Assault weapons ban was passed by politicians who know nothing about firearms. It was aptly named to invoke fear.
The ATF did not pass this bill. They were simply responsible for enforcing the law as written.
Which means at one point the ATF classified AR-15s as assault weapons, directly contradicting your earlier statement that they had never done so.
Whoooooops.

Some did. And some detailed why an AR-15 was superior to a Mini-14.
What are the differences? I mean obviously if you linked all these articles and read them, so you should easily be able to answer this.

I gave you my answer in the form of half a dozen links. You're welcome.
Links to articles is not you answering question.
I mean I would expect Ms. Scientist to understand you can't submit an academic paper that's nothing but quotes from other people...

You want me to validate YOUR claim?
Of course not, that's already done.
What I'd like you to do is explain why your claim that it's not over the expected is valid - mainly by illustrating what you believe should be used as the "expected" value.
Because when we use what I've said should be the expected value, clearly we're in an epidemic. For you to reject that, you must have another expected - so go on, share it. It's okay.

I mean, whatever you want to call it, the guy in Vegas modified his gun to simulate automatic fire and killed 58 people and wounded almost 500 more.
Imagine if he had used something more effective...

You're not a pollster, so your opinion on their methodology and wording is invalid. And it's not just one polling outfit decimating your claims - are you saying every single one is using the exact same biases and question wordings?

The ATF did not change their definition in response to this bill. They simply enforced the law that was passed. Namely that any rifle containing 2 or more of the "bad" features was banned from sale.

That isn't what that means...

They're pretty clearly laid out in every link provided. Spend a moment, read them.

That is incorrect, the author of the bill define it not the ATF.

No it doesn't.

Would one of the rifles banned from sale have the nickname "AR-15"?
And would such ban be enforced by an agency such as the ATF, which then had certain 'classifications' of guns that fit the ban and certain 'classifications' of guns which did not?
Yeah, exactly.

It's also a good time to bring vehicle registrations up again.

It sure is, when said article contains the answers.

Answered with half a dozen links earlier in the thread.
YOU didn't answer anything.
You provided 5 links. Two said the mini 14 is better than the AR-15, two claimed that an AR-15 is better than a mini 14, and one was a video that was already in one of the other links.
So let me get this straight. Your grand rebuttal to ban AR-15's but leave Mini 14's alone is to link 2 articles that claim an AR-15 is better and two that claim the mini 14 is better?
