Found out someone had my info and signed up for Obama care in my name.. When I went to file my taxes is when I found out.. What a cluster eff that was.. Turbo Tax wouldn't release/finalize my taxes until the powers that be said it was ok.. It's a long story but I ended doing a lot of foot work and got it done.. But every year in December I call the health market place to see if anyone is signed up in my name...

That happened to me years ago. Luckily, my dad was a CPA and still working at the time. Otherwise, I can’t imagine how much of a PITA it would’ve been

I have a retired friend who is pushing 60. He’s been on Obamacare since day one.
He’s very wealthy but doesn’t have much annual income.
He qualifies. It’s ridiculous.

It's not just you. There was even a proposed $1.8 billion fund for that exact purpose recently. For compensating rioters

For years, about 5 years now, someone with the name Santiago Moreno Ramirez has been using my address with obamacare.
I get mail from DHHS, Health Marketplace, and various taxpayer insurance providers. A couple years he had Oscar. Then Ambetter. Humana.
I’ve been writing NOT AT THIS ADDRESS and returning the mail for years. I’ve contacted the USPS. “Sorry can’t do anything.” I’ve contacted all the insurance providers. “Sorry can’t do anything.” I’ve contacted DHHS and the DOJ. “Sorry can’t do anything.”
I’ve told them all someone is using my address fraudulently for taxpayer funded health care coverage for years. “Sorry can’t do anything.”
I’ve got fraud alerts and protection from a couple monitoring services. Nothing else but this obamacare has popped up.

Same thing happened to me. The following year my wife and daughter had it happen.

Well, that means the insurance companies owe us several hundred million dollars, or billions!
1 million policies averaging leads say $500 per month in subsidy (probably much higher)
And the agents were paid commissions, etc etc

Tell me, genius, how can someone "enroll in Obamacare" and get money?
Perhaps an insurance company can scam some money, or an insurance broker can scam some money, but how can an individual "enroll" and get money?
