I’ve heard story after story of Facebook Karens who were terrified to leave their houses because they thought they would die only to talk to others who have had the virus with little to no issues and then they were perplexed as to how that could be given their intense fear.
Constant case and/or death tallies shown on TV. Shut downs and economic disruption leading to supply shortages and unemployment. Inability to see loved ones, even on their death beds. Inability to socialize, going to birthdays, weddings, or even to hang out with friends. Being told to wear a mask because even if you are fine, you might kill your neighbor. The whole this is about fear.
