I don't understand why the article concludes that the cause is racism. Doesn't the fact that it doesn't affect black women prove that it is not in fact racism that is the cause? It actually looks like black women do better than their white women counterparts.

While it is just one study that likely has flaws, this is an indictment of the liberal narrative that all blacks need is economic opportunity to fix their social pathologies

Every excuse under the sun will be exhausted before these idiots admit the simple truth that's been breathing in their face the whole time.
Everything from IQ models to standardized tests is racist because they don't account for the way people learn or the symbols of the language or some other such nonsense.
I'm actually aching for some sociologist to release a new IQ model where literally everyone has the exact same average, or better yet, one where the poor minorities actually look better. Nevermind that such a model is highly unlikely to correlate with wealth and success as most Westerners define it, at least not nearly to the degree as what we have now.
We're more likely to see that before anyone just flat-out admits that some races are dumber than others.

I’m surprised it is that high.
The problem is that the lowest quartile is dumber than dirt and dragging everyone down.
Same dumbasses having 8 kids before they are 30 then ending up in jail or getting killed in a gang fight, pulling down life expectancy for their whole race.

honestly i don't think it's nearly that bad. when you hit that level you're talking about people who can't be trained to think at all. i think there is a huge bias/skew in the data based on (1) language issues and (2) care. now these aren't GOOD things, but giving no fricks about an IQ test and developing competent language skills to express intelligence are much less worrisome than the output (median 85 IQ)
however, i do truly believe that lack of spacial, higher-order, and analytical thinking over time will "calcify" in the brain. same with language development. "if you don't use it, you lose it" applies to the brain and our intelligence. most of this isn't stressed in cultures of lower class mindset so these kids "lose it" by puberty and it can't be regrown.
it's truly sad. the generational child abuse that has been going on for decades is terrible. the enabling and defense of this mass child abuse by the educated left is simply sickening. they frick these kids over, leaving them with a life of suboptimal economic potential, and then blame everyone else for that outcome.

ignoring race, this is a major problem with America, generally
we have a huge underclass for a developed nation. they drag all of our stats down to make us look a lot worse than we are
it's just like the "3% problem" where 3% of our population is responsible for approximately half the murders. it's a complete skew of the US stats in general, but also for the entirety of our black population. the VAST majority of black people in the US would never kill outside of self defense, yet this small chunk skews their entire statistical representation in violent crime rates.

That’s the mean (average) IQ, not the median IQ.
As I said in my post, I think the problem is that the dumbest of the dumb within that group completely bomb their IQ test and it is skewing results for the whole group downward.

Yeah, I watched that whole video yesterday. The stuff about the military analysis is interesting. Short story: If a recruit has an IQ under 85 there is no job in the military that will result in productivity.
