Where's the proof that Obama had anything to do with this?

The EO he signed to spread this illegally retained surveillance of a political opponents across agencies.

Yes, and FISA allows for surveillance of US persons if they are agents of a foreign power, which is defined in the law. However, FISA requires that you have a court order in those cases.

For instance, a US person can be a foreign power if they

1) knowingly engage in clandestine intelligence gathering activities for a foreign
power which activities constitute a violation of U.S. criminal statutes;
2) knowingly engage in sabotage or international terrorism, or activities in
reparation therefore, on behalf of a foreign power.

What foreign country is James Rosen an agent of?

FISA doesn't even give the President the power to order surveillance under your hypothetical:

LINK

The targets of the surveillance have to be conversations between foreign powers or take place in a foreign country AND "there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person is a party"

Nunes described the surveillance as most likely being “incidental collection.” This can occur when a person inside the United States communicates with a foreign target of U.S. surveillance.

So absolutely nothing new.

Think very carefully before you answer this.

Is the President responsible for everything that his administration does while he is in office?

I believe that this was the last resort. Put Trumps dirty laundry in front of the entire IC so the leakers and saboteurs can do what they were appointed by Obama to do.

Wiretapping equals plausible deniability... legalized semantics...it was always about CIA/NSA surveillance. Nunes better avoid tall buildings and desolate parks in Virginia.

So, as long as they keep it secret, then they are not responsible?

I don't really know how to respond to "Obama let it happen" without more information.

A FISA warrant was made and rejected. Then it was made again and accepted. The POTUS is going to know that a FISA warrant was accepted against a political opponent in an ongoing presidential race. If you deny that, I really can't help you.

Um, wasnt the left on this board just in giggles over the fact that Nunes originally said he had no evidence Trump was investigated at all?

that is not a court ordered surveillance on Trump. This is what we always assumed happened with Flynn.

When you allow intelligence to be shared, you are allowing other agencies to spy....speaking in simple terms.

Signing an EO that allow agency "A" access to collected data is spying.

It's news that incidental collection might have been used as a weapon against the incoming administration.

The one that I keep going back to is on Obama's way out, WHY THE EXECUTIVE ORDER MAKING IT EASIER TO SHARE THIS INFORMATION?

That's the kicker; I can't get straight. Was this his fall back plan if compromised?

It was designed to get the information out, to sink Flynn, to make it near impossible to trace the leaker and to give a middle finger to Trump on the way out the door. Quite a petty move for such an alleged statesman.
